Valdez is a guy I think most expected to be an ex-Red Sox by now. In his tiny sample so far he's been lights-out.

I go on the NYY Fans site quite a bit to read what they're saying about Cashman. I can't help myself. They crucify him on a daily basis and some of the comments are hilarious. It's great stuff.

"Ghost runner" is more bad terminology. "Freebie runner" would be more accurate.

It's interesting that one of the conditions of Story's signing was that he get vaxxed. The Red Sox were able to use their leverage there to force him to do it. But they can't force guys already on the team to do it.
