At the moment I'm mainly worried about Pivetta. We were counting on him to be one of our solid starters.

They are hardly all clowns. Usually you highlight the clowns in red or something.

Well, once upon a time there were starters, late inning relievers and middle relievers. The middle relievers were the guys who weren't very good and were always coming and going on a shuttle. Now middle relievers have to be good too.

Gausman was expensive, but he has really progressed as a pitcher. I do agree it's disappointing the Sox didn't spend a little on a starter.

Valdez is a guy I think most expected to be an ex-Red Sox by now. In his tiny sample so far he's been lights-out.
