My argument is in the reply I posted to Jackson. It was a game situation call. Cora didn't want Wacha to face Ohtani there. Cora was treating this as a virtual must-win.
You have to look at the specifics of the game, too.
Sox ahead 2-0. Wacha is left in to face Ward and Trout for the third time each. Trout gets on and Ohtani is up with a chance to tie the game. Cora goes to the lefty.
It's just further proof of how silly the stats for saves and blown saves are.

Just say no. Not only does he have the PED stigma, but he's notorious for a lack of hustle. In fact I think his last Mets hit was a single that should have been a double, but he got thrown out at second because he didn't run hard enough.
