  1. The situation with Bogey made me think, maybe the team should go to the player and ask them what they're looking for - have the player make the first move.
  2. You and 5GG's are in quite a battle for Most Bitterly Cynical Talksox Poster of 2022.
  3. But why players who choose Boras in particular? As I said, Bogey's existing deal was by no means a greedy one.
  4. Understood, but let's say we are out of contention in July. Would it make sense to keep players whose contracts are up at the end of the year or trade them? Teams in that situation have been trading those players since forever, right?
  5. Ha, I was going to say the 64 million dollar question.
  6. I'd say that's more than possible.
  7. You can't herd cats.
  8. Price's contract had an opt out. JD's had multiple opt outs.
  9. Yes, but that's not an approach this franchise has taken.
  10. It's been reported that they only offered to add one year at $30 mill to the remaining 3 years and $60 mill.
  11. At least there's one more year to work something out with Raffy. And the team will be flush with cash going into next offseason.
  12. He does have a point, though, about us having so many of our best players looking like they'll be traded before their contracts expire.
  13. Boras isn't really the devil anymore. Heck, the deal Bogey signed that he's in right now was below market.
  14. I don't think anyone is blaming it on that alone.
  15. There are numerous culprits. He's been one of them.
  16. I know. And sometimes, unfortunately, the only thing that's interesting is how incredibly bad it is.
  17. Houck has not been effective his last couple of times out, that's for sure.
  18. Well, on the bright side, Houck is proving he's a 1-inning guy and clarifying what his role should be...
  19. And don't forget the pitiful offense in the last three innings. It's a team effort.
  20. Runs per game down to 3.28. Is this the low point, or are there further depths to be visited?
  21. You and your injury jokes...
  22. It's a Feast!
