OK, but you and Old Red can be testy too. We can all be somewhat snarky here. I see people defending Bloom on some points and criticizing DD on some points, sure, but that's not the same thing as getting upset. It's just discussion and argument.

Dave Dombrowski was GM of a team that lost 119 games in 2003. Blaming him for that would obviously be idiotic. Old schoolers who say you're always what your record says are not really using much common sense.

Who are the most successful MLB franchises of this century? I'm using 2000 as the first year of the century. Some have argued that it didn't actually start until 2001, but it's an arbitrary sample anyway, so who cares? Plus this makes it look like we're trying to be fair to the Yankees, who won it all in 2000. First let's look at playoff success, which above all means winning the World Series, or at least getting there. Red Sox fans like how this works out. FanGraphs says Brasier was unlucky in 2022. He had a FIP of 3.61, a K/BB of 4.92 and an fWAR of 0.5. That's why he's still around.
