None of the injuries are serious.
But man, pitchers are scary individuals. I don't think it's hyperbole to say they're more prone to injury all the time. I can only surmise it's from throwing so hard and putting so much spin on the ball. Nothing to do with babying or anything like that. Pitching at a high level is just crazy hard on the human arm.
I think you can both be right. notin is correct that teams are obviously still intent on ways to do things that Manfred and the fans don't want to see. So that's kind of a big deal, and I'll bet Manfred is already talking about whether a tweak is needed.
To me, the numbers speak for themselves.
The SA Spurs' 5 in 16 is not a dynasty, any more than the Red Sox's 4 in 15.
