  1. I complain about people who complain about complaining.
  2. You're being way too rational about this.
  3. Some folks complain about just about everything, of course.
  4. You were more like the dog in your avatar.
  5. If it's not sustainable then it's not an attribute.
  6. $360 mill to be exact. But you know how fans are. Judge wasn't an addition, just a very expensive retention. Willie Calhoun in the lineup on a daily basis, now that's a head-scratcher.
  7. It's all speculation one way or the other. That is what we do here, of course.
  8. Nobody said that, but I don't think there would have been complaining about it either. Strahm has pitched well, but the Phillies pitching overall has been dreadful.
  9. Yeah, it's like this one: "Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger."
  10. Trivino having TJ surgery. No timetable for Rodon due to ongoing back issues.
  11. It's fewer innings, with higher stress innings. I don't think anybody really knows if there's a big difference.
  12. 1 visit to the World Series in 19 years is not good by Yankee standards.
  13. For me it's not about his ability, it's about his issues staying healthy.
  14. Looks like you're right. I'm just not sure I'd call it babying, since he was pitching multi-inning stints and ended up with 73 innings.
  15. We're all a bunch of armchair wizards.
  16. Yeah, I'm definitely getting on board with Whitlock as a reliever, simply because of his health concerns.
  17. Bernardino's straight numbers look pretty good so far...are there advanced ones that say otherwise?
  18. There's a lot of Recency Effect with Dugo pricing because of the great start he's having...
  19. Man, Pittsburgh must have a really sharp guy running things these days.
  20. Which is especially hard to do in a 4 game series.
  21. Add into the mix the fact that Stanton's injury was self-inflicted, and Judge's (arguably) was, too.
  22. Verdugo has been unreal so far.
  23. Hall Monitor post. Yoshida said Fatse advised him to open his stance a little and it made a big difference.
  24. Quite possibly. Based on what we know, though, he wanted to stay in Boston. And as has been pointed out, bad things can happen in one year. It was a good deal all the way around.
