  1. There you go. Bloom is on a roll right now.
  2. And he fattened a few of the Twins' averages in the process. He was everybody's pal last night!
  3. After logging a .524 OPS with the Yankees this year, Aaron Hicks has a 1.048 OPS with the Orioles. The second number is exactly twice as big as the first!
  4. We're getting some really pleasant surprises lately. Duran I guess would be the biggest.
  5. Dalbec might be able to hit MLB pitching given another chance, but at the moment the Red Sox just don't have room to give him that chance. Hopefully he does get another shot somewhere at some point.
  6. Totally absurd, but it's just another example that Wins, Losses and Saves are essentially garbage stats.
  7. Yes, that is fair. I just mentioned a possible upswing in development on another thread.
  8. Could it be that our development/coaching of young pitchers is finally starting to improve? (Bello, Crawford, Houck, Winckowski, Whitlock)
  9. Whining will only occur if Brasier pitches lights out for a week or two, of course...
  10. Does Bloom get to include Bello, Casas, Crawford, Devers, Duran and Houck on his resume when he had nothing to do with acquiring them? That's not usually how we play HOBO vs. HOBO here.
  11. Available for only money! Quite a bit, though...
  12. Great moments in Sox history!
  13. If Crawford turns out to be good, it might be a golden foursome left by DD-Bello, Casas, Crawford and Duran.
  14. The last thing I come here for is logic.
  15. But for his salary and an arcane loophole in the luxury tax code that was closed especially for him...
  16. moon is just like the guy in his avatar. Has to question everything, and in the end it drove him mad...
  17. Dalbec is a textbook example of how freakin' hard it is to hit MLB pitching. At the Triple A level, he's a god.
  18. So Dalbec isn't quite in the same position as Rusney Castillo was, but he's not far from it...
  19. In his last 3 games he has 5 hits, 3 extra-base hits, 2 walks and 5 RBI. It just seems like an oddly-timed critique.
  20. Bello HellNo. He's the guy you trade for, not the guy you trade.
  21. Casas's OPS continues to steadily creep upward. It was .576 at end of April, .667 at end of May, .730 today.
  22. Yes, but you did say "notoriously", which sounds like it pertains to his whole career. So I think you're being mean to me.
  23. To be precise, it was 2.1 IP and 2 ER.
  24. I think that's a bit of an overstatement. It's not like he falls off a cliff. Seems like pretty typical variances. By month 888 900 869 848 887 843 Postseason 987
  25. "I was so much older then I'm younger than that now." Bob Dylan
