  1. Yankee fans are a lot like Sox fans these days - skeptical and pessimistic.
  2. They must think we're pretty stoopid.
  3. Sure, but trading your top prospect for one guaranteed year seems a bit much. When has any Sox CBO ever done that?
  4. Sox ownership and patience haven't had much of a relationship for a while either.
  5. And the Turner deal with the Marlins, right?
  6. And he walked into a tough spot. But patience has kind of had its day for Sox fans the last few years.
  7. Yeah, it does seem a little nutty to trade your top prospect for one guaranteed year when you're currently projected to be a .500 team or so...
  8. If I'm Breslow, what I'm most scared of is JH's unwillingness to shell out.
  9. *Hopefully* just for one year.
  10. Are we sure about this? Gray and E-Rod didn't wait around and signed for very reasonable and predictable numbers.
  11. Yeah, that $45 million recapture, plus tax savings, surely watered down the talent take. And the fact they waited till February probably didn't help either. Just disgusting.
  12. But we kind of need something top shelf, which arguably reduces what's left of the FA field to Moto and Snell, and the Moto prospects are shaky at best.
  13. Boy, that Steve Cohen sure is an enthusiastic, proactive sonofagun to fly off to meet with Moto, huh? Along with having the most money...
  14. What's unsettling is that we were talking exactly like this 1 year ago.
  15. Double misunderstanding. We were talking about Moto signing with the Mets.
  16. Who knows, maybe 2 of the 4 pitchers will hit. King has pitched pretty well the last 2 years and made the transition to starting very nicely. He's been somewhat injury-prone, but what else is new. Sure is a different-looking package from what the Sox got for Betts.
  17. By all accounts Ohtani is very methodical, has already narrowed the field to two, and it'll be this Sunday.
  18. OF is Judge, Soto and Verdugo, Stanton is DH?
  19. Yeah, if Moto is excited by the idea of playing in NY, it's already game over, man.
  20. Yep. Our disappointment shall be drawn out a while yet.
  21. Right, in the fashion of a guy chasing girls all night but going home alone...
  22. I guess if I'm going to continue beating Mr. Dithers to death I'll have to let you do the same with the Kia joke...
  23. Well, the Soto trade was a pretty big deal and Ohtani should be picking his team any day now. As for the Sox, it's still quiet times...
  24. We all have our own personal takes, but the indecision thing makes a lot of sense to me when you look at the history.
