Man, if someone had told you that 3 lefty starters would make their Boston debuts in September 2025, you would have assumed we were in 2012-style garbage time.
Breslow is not a robot, he's just a super-brainy guy who needs to work on his communication skills a bit.
This is a man who played 12 MLB seasons and won a title. We're actually pretty fortunate to have someone with that kind of experience in the game plus the brain he has.
And once again my attitude might be affected by winning the last couple of games. 🙂
The exchange rate is in the high thirties right now, plus I get whacked with a few extra points by my credit card. I have no idea what the duty rate is right now but I've had to pay like 20% on some things I buy from the US. Actually I'm not sure if they can even ship this to me, there are lot of restrictions. It'd be cool to have though.
Personally I have my eye on an autographed Roman Anthony baseball selling on the Red Sox MLB site.
It's $180 US, to get it in my door here in Canada, after exchange and duties and whatnot, is probably close to $300 LOL.
The bar for good fanning is pretty low. Nothing that happens on a fan forum like this one does any harm to anyone. Ripping a baseball out of Mookie Betts's glove, or issuing death threats because you didn't win your prop bet, is a different story.
Yoshida is showing signs, isn't he? The last 4 games he has 5 hits and 2 walks. I don't have an enormous amount of faith in him either, but I think there's sound reasoning behind what they're doing.
Just a little more faith in Yoshida because he has a track record. Romy could improve against righties, sure. Campbell and Garcia have no track records so I can't see turning to them now. We'll see them again in 2026.
Yoshida .674. Pretty small differences here, and Yoshida's sample size is still small enough that his OPS jumped 45 points last night. Still not sure why you have so little faith in his ability to hit righties.
