  1. Unfreakinbelievable. The media is going to christen this as a classic game and it probably was.
  2. There's one other baseball game to keep our eye on tonight. Buchholz is pitching for the PawSox.
  3. The Red Sox have 11 players with at least 200 PA's. Of the 11, 9 of them have an OPS of .775 or higher. The 2 that don't are Gomes at .751 and WMB at .703. That is some fantastic depth and balance on offence.
  4. Buchy Boy pitches again for PawSox tonight.
  5. Didn't Nolan Ryan pass on Koji Uehara too?
  6. One of the very first signs.
  7. Nava's OPS is up to .840. Dojji is also excited.
  8. Hey, I set him up for it.
  9. seabeachfred just got really excited.
  10. He's a solid ballplayer.
  11. Does seem a bit odd. I guess he wants to save his lefty relievers for the Stadium. What other righties do we have - De La Rosa?
  12. Good stuff. Robertson got lit up and Mo has to get 4 outs.
  13. Jonny Gomes is croaking for an at-bat right now.
  14. His pitch count really mushroomed the last 2 innings.
  15. 3/4 credit I would say.
  16. Yep. He fills Wake's old role, but with a $10 million surcharge.
  17. You just said it. We have Dempster, they have Porcello. Not too many teams that don't have one s***** starter. Now if Buch ever gets back...
  18. Maybe jung's right and Vic has reached the f***ed-up part of his right-on-right thing.
  19. Well, so much for that idea.
  20. The law of averages says there's gonna be a bunch of runs in this game. Let's put up a big number right now.
  21. All mojos should be maintained.
  22. Keith Foulke's fastball was also very ordinary, right? But he could hit the corners with it, and his changeup was outstanding. One of the scariest moments of my Red Sox life was Foulke pitching the bottom of the 9th in Game 6 of the 2004 ALCS. I still don't know how he got through that.
  23. His numbers since July 1 are beyond sick.
