    But in baseball, defence = pitching + fielding, or runs allowed. The Tigers did allow fewer runs than we did this year, but we scored more and had a bigger differential.

    I'll take Red Sox in 6 as well, and I'm not super confident either. It's rare that I am confident in a sports prediction, unless it's an obvious blowout.

    I think the one guy I'm most worried about is VMart. He has been swinging the bat very well since the ASB. He is a dangerous hitter when he's going good like this.

    Oh no, it's the dreaded head-to-head comparisons. If these things actually meant anything you'd be able to predict the outcome of every series with precision. Sorry OJ...ranting about the unpredictability of this game is just part of my shtick.

    Based on offensive numbers it's not close. If you use WAR per game it's pretty close. But Choo has been much more consistent obviously.

    Ain't that the truth. I've been addicted to this nonsense for 6 years now. It's put some legit stress on my marriage at times. My wife wonders why I'd rather be doing this than spending time with her. I do spend time with her, trust me. But she would always like a little more.
