  1. Sure, but we need both of those guys - they've been our 2 best hitters.
  2. Pedroia on the DL - that's all we need in this season from hell.
  3. Farrell has to go. Kick him upstairs. Hire Ron Gardenhire (?). Do something. The culture of losing is settling in big time.
  4. Personally I think it's a pretty f***ed-up event all the way around, including that damn Home Run Derby. If 8 Royals are starters that will seal the deal.
  5. The pitching staff - it's hard for me to say if these guys are underperforming significantly or if this is what they are. I do think your point about them f***ing with Porcello seems to have merit. The others I just don't know. The whole thing really is an enigma, and I'm not saying that to be a smartass.
  6. This is kind of a shaky assertion to me though...which particular players are significantly underachieving in a way that is difficult to explain? Pedroia, Bogaerts, Holt and Betts are playing well. Ortiz and Napoli may just have hit the wall career-wise. Hanley and Panda's offensive numbers are not that far off career numbers/trends. Etc.
  7. Nice work Station.
  8. Kimmi, I always enjoy your posts and I love your attitude. Whatever you do don't get put off by the negativity you're seeing here right now. I've been saying a lot of negative things myself, that's for sure. I like to think of myself as a realist. The fact is that our team is 30 games under .500 since the start of 2014, despite all of our obvious resources. As Sox fans we've never been through anything like us, even us older ones, who have seen some very bad teams, but not ones who had such apparent advantages in payroll and supposed analytical expertise. All of us here want the team to turn it around somehow.
  9. That ain't good.
  10. If Mookie had homered we'd have two guys hit for the cycle today.
  11. Cycle for Brockstar.
  12. My objection would be on behalf of Postseason Panda.
  13. We're a hittin' machine today!
  14. I think it has to do with the odd game time too.
  15. Did anybody hear about the scandal brewing with the Cardinals?
  16. It'd be nice to see Mookie go on a tear.
  17. Creative solutions are exactly what this team needs.
  18. This team is giving reasonable projections a bad name.
  19. True enough, but do they really want to just play out the string, lose around 95 games and accept being the most disastrous flop in franchise history? Have to at least change the manager and start playing a better brand of baseball.
  20. Man, Stephen King couldn't write anything more horrifying than this season.
  21. Why stop at 10? Go big or stay home. LOL
  22. Left field may be the 2nd easiest position, Kimmi, but for Hanley, a guy with obvious injury concerns, left field in Fenway would seem to me to be fairly challenging, with the wall and the corner.
  23. Well, I guess the question is whether Ben should have seen Victorino's bad body and Craig's bad bat coming. Maybe it can be chalked up to one piece of bad luck after another...
  24. It may or may not be evident in my posts, but I am extremely calm.
  25. This all goes to show that 'mojo' is kind of a bad idea. If it's all in fun, great. If it can be used for nasty purposes, not so much.
