  1. Nobody every said third is the worst spot in the order of course. Kimmi said it's the fifth-best spot. Somebody has to stick up for her.
  2. According to the NY Post the Yankees are making a big play for Frazier and Robertson.
  3. I know some feel differently, but I still think the trade for Peavy in 2013 was a good one.
  4. I just missed the 1967 season myself but it had a lot to do with me being a Sox fan shortly after that.
  5. Hmmm...Small Sample Size alert on the .150.
  6. Well that was quite a series to start things off after the break. Great pitching.
  7. Quintana could be another coup for Theo. What a way to start with them today.
  8. Good one.
  9. I think that's going to happen starting tomorrow (Farrell mentioned lineup changes were coming tomorrow) unless Moreland goes wild the rest of this game (LOL).
  10. But generally speaking, it should be a very winnable game for the Red Sox offense when the defense gives up 4 runs.
  11. OK fellas, can we score a f***ing run or two?
  12. Especially at Fenway - that could be a while ago.
  13. 23 scoreless in a row. Agh.
  14. 22 straight scoreless innings. 13 runs in 8 games vs. the Yankees this year.
  15. On the other hand, Lin probably never dreamed of getting this much playing time this year. He has made the most of it.
  16. I'm assuming a low cost.
  17. I don't think the team was pleased with how Pablo looked in the spring of 2016. I thought it was very telling that they started giving Shaw a lot of playing time fairly early on in spring games.
  18. The way I see it, if you add Frazier you're certainly not expecting to solve offensive problems. You're just hoping he might help you win a game or two down the stretch with a timely long ball. He might even just be a bridge to Devers in September.
  19. Every big contract is risky. Pablo certainly goes down as one of the oddest free agent signings in team history. I do tend to think there was more box office than baseball ops thinking involved in the decision.
  20. Farrell didn't burn anybody yesterday. All those guys should be available to pitch in one of today's games. Girardi used Chapman for the second straight game. Not sure what you're giving him extra kudos for, really.
  21. Harrison also costly. It's probably Frazier or nothing.
  22. If we scored off one of those kids would Girardi still have out managed Farrell? The managers didn't decide that game.
