With Sale, E-Rod and Wright on the DL, we need BOTH Johnson and Pomeranz - like it or lump it.
-
The guy that started this thread hasn't posted since July 9. Kind of a joker LOL
-
On the same day Sale hits the DL with shoulder issue, Bogey gets hit in the hand, the same place as last year that ruined his season. Showing once again how quickly stuff can go sideways.
-
The AL East is far from clinched.
-
It's never as simple as that. Houston's bullpen had lousy numbers in last year's playoffs.
-
41 pitches for 3 innings would be pretty good...
-
I could never think this way.
-
Worry about everything, I say.
-
Any trade for Harper would be a rental only.
-
Yeah, everyone hates him now. He was 3rd on the team in WAR last year though.
-
You may have been thinking of the Mets' record of 120 losses.
-
Even trading JBJ for Harper straight up is questionable.
-
There's more to it than those numbers will tell.
-
Just another fun little project for DD... Right now it seems quite possible he could trade Vazquez.
-
Leon is staying put, as good as the pitching has been with him behind the plate.
-
Yes. I'm expecting his debut of 7 scoreless to be the norm.
-
With Brian Johnson fully available for piggyback duty if Pom falters.

The term 'walk-off win' is lame to begin with, since the way it's used is completely bass-ackwards of its original meaning. Eck coined the term and used it to describe the losing pitcher sadly walking off the mound. See, the losing team walks off, while the winning team goes nuts... But now it's called a 'walk-off win'. Oh well, most people aren't very bright, what do you expect...

I've always liked Kinsler.
-
He's still relatively young though. Maybe he just needs some help with his focus or whatever the issue is.

The Alex Cora Managerial Decision Thread

Can't disagree with any of that. -
Get that Lance Lynn thread up!
-
Except Kimmi doesn't say 'other than a closer'. She thinks any relief pitcher making more than MLB minimum is overpaid.
-
I had the same ugly thought last night. The Evil Elf is capable of just about anything between now and tomorrow-anything he can talk Hal into paying for.

The Alex Cora Managerial Decision Thread
Bellhorn04 replied to StephenCurry30's topic in Boston Red Sox Talk
Just for the Talksox record, the posts by Splinter and Slasher were the ones I was referring to with the 'crucify' comment.
