    The reaction of Puig to Moreland's home run said a lot too. Not only did he not move from his position, he put his hands on his head as if he couldn't believe what Madson had done, or he couldn't believe what Roberts had done bringing Madson in. Not a great signal to your team, especially when you're still leading the game.

    Just guessing here along with everyone else, but I think maybe Price is getting the ball because Cora figures he has a better chance of getting deeper into the game. And the bullpen is taxed to say the least, especially with E-Rod out of the picture.

    Kinsler was a good move too, IMO. But not everything works out.

    Something else to chew on, Max, about how managerial decisions are viewed: After Game 3 Cora was being criticized in a lot of quarters for 'going all-in' with Eovaldi. After Game 4 we heard a lot about how Eovaldi's performance in Game 3 was very inspirational to the team.

    With Eovaldi and Pearce, I think Dombrowski may have had the greatest deadline in the history of general managers.

    Cora probably made his worst mistake as a manager letting E-Rod face Puig. But then Dave Roberts said 'I'll see you that mistake and raise you one, by bringing in the horrible Ryan Madson in a key situation again!'

    OK quick trivia question - before Kinsler, what was the name of the last Sox second baseman to make a postseason crucial error before this one.

    Kinsler has had an excellent career. His career WAR is about the same as Pedroia's. And he had some good postseason numbers coming into this year. Last night was just one of those disasters similar to ones that have befallen others before him like Jackie Smith and Bill Buckner.

    On the Dodgers side, Jansen threw 32 pitches last night and Baez threw 26, so that's a plus for us.

    Leon was actually one of the offensive stars. I don't see how Betts and Bogaerts flailing is a Cora issue. It was just a horrible game for the offense, that's all.
