  1. I don't believe in DeGrom honestly. Harvey would be a huge get.
  2. Nope, and Sale isn't going anywhere anyway. Strasburg would be a terrible investment. He's been very inconsistent, has horrible mechanics (inverted W, and so does Sale actually) that have already lead to TJS , and is going to get stupid money/years from someone. The Red Sox would do well to pass on him.
  3. You're massively overvaluing whtat Holt and Devers would bring back here.
  4. I usually watch him on Saturdays. I'll have a gander tomorrow afternoon.
  5. He's been below replacement level offensively every single year since 2011 against righties. If your OPS and wRC+ are below replacement level while you are playing a corner position, that is the definition of "actively doing harm". It was passable while he played CF, but it isn't while he's playing LF, and even less if he's being allowed to hit in game-defining situations. There are like seven layers of wrong there.
  6. I'm not stupid, and I hate Panda. I've said many times I like calling things for what they are. I think some of his mistakes have been overblown, and I also think Hanley and Porcello will end up being good investments.
  7. You're pretty good at exaggeration. We get it, you don't like the FO.
  8. Dojji, you are employing a level of logical fallacy that makes me seriously doubt your cognitive abilities. Let me put it this way: He has had an OPS+ below league average, and has had OBP's below .300 against righties every year since 2011. He cannot hit righties. It is a fact. Deal with it.
  9. If you know Holt is a borderline starter, what makes you think other teams don't see him the same way, and offered the Red Sox lower value than what they think he's worth? Other teams' front offices are not stupid.
  10. Chris Young OPS vs righthanders: 2011: .694 2012: .707 2013: .614 2014: .720 2015: .585 He has sucked against righties since 2011, with his big "year" in 2014 resulting in a .720 OPS, (and looking like the actual outlier). There is a clear regression trend there. Check the numbers before you make the statements.
  11. What are you talking about? Rasmus was a FA, they offered him a QO, he took it, and they made no effort to trade him afterwards. In fact, they were working on a multi-year deal before he accepted the QO.
  12. Remy and DOB were talking about how Betances starts over 70% of his AB's with breaking balls, and Ortiz was sitting on that one.
  13. Sarcasm isn't your strong suit. The point is that he can't hit righties, so he should see as little AB's against them as possible. Is that incorrect?
  14. You know, we don't have to trade everyone just because we can. Holt is more valuable to the Red Sox than what they'd get back in a package. Even worse, they really need him. He's occupying a regular spot in LF, and he's the only guy who can currently spell XB. Marrero couldn't hit his way out of a party with all of Chris Brown's ex girlfriends.
  15. Tha yankeeess loooooseeee! Thaaaa yankeeessss loseeeee!
  16. The baseball Gods are in love with Owens tonight.
  17. He's not living on luck, he's living on Holt. That's even better.
  18. Hanley's hitting everything up-the-middle, to his pull side with power, or the other way with authority. Just looking great.
  19. If he can advance his fastball command, a good one. Otherwise, no future.
  20. Owens is one of the most puzzling guys I have seen. Two legitimate swing-and-miss pitches (breaking ball, changeup) he can throw for strikes consistently, yet he can't command his fastball. That makes no sense.
