    Then you're probably not going to get him, which is my point. There's the possibility of the Cubs moving Soriano for a better deal. If i'm Theo, i don't make any deal with Soriano where i have to give up money AND a prospect, even if it's a C-type.

    Well i think effectiveness has its value. If Oswalt is going to give the team a better chance to win than Jackson every time out, then those 30 innings look less important.

    Even though Jackson has thrown more IP, every other possible measure favors Oswalt, including ERA+, which controls for league. I would be content with either, but if healthy, give me Oswalt. Let's not pretend like Jackson is a better "pitcher" than Oswalt.

    Remember how much both the rotation AND BP would be strengthened. Also, RF is not really a problem. A Kalish/Ross RF platoon should be very much above-average.
