  1. Papi doesn't make a lot of baserunning blunders, and that one hurt.
  2. Settle down Lester, for the love of God.
  3. Good work, newbie.
  4. Because everyone needs to be traded all the time, just like in fantasy baseball.
  5. Kinda making that up.
  6. Your proposed deals make very little sense for the D'Backs. They have a lot of up-and-coming SP and OF depth in the minors. Also, you're assuming other teams don't know the deal with Lackey. He's pitching great, but he's post-op and getting up there in years. That diminishes his value. I don't understand the mental masturbation with trading him either way.
  7. No no f*** that. They better not bail the Yankees out of A-Rod's contract!
  8. Why do people wanna trade basically everyone all the time? Lackey's a lot more valuable to the Sox than any other team.
  9. No it wouldn't, because he'll play out the rest of his current contract before the extension kicks in, so by the time he starts seeing the money from the extension Cano will have signed.
  10. Except that the three highly heralded ones (Hanley, Sanchez, Masterson) would make this team better right now and have absolutely made an impact for other clubs. Guys like David Murphy, Anthony Rizzo and Tim Federowicz would also look very good on the current roster. This is why you gotta be careful moving the blue chippers.
  11. Age 38. The extension kicks in after his current contract is up.
  12. He was plain bad last year too. And like last year, it's a home road split problem. Last year, he got bombed at home and dominated on the road. This year, he bombs on the road and dominates at home. It's all in his head.
  13. ^This. It literally makes no sense to think otherwise.
  14. Can you please explain exactly what you're trying to say in this post? I can make no sense of it.
  15. It may have something to do with the fact that Lester's FIP and xFIP are both at or above 4.00. May have wanted to double check that before making the post.
  16. Yeah, because Young sucks. And again, a run saved is not the same as a run scored. That's why the actions of scoring and preventing a run are named differently.
  17. Cano is a FA after the season, so the Yankees could literally trade him then re-sign him in the off-season if they wanted to. Wright is locked up for several more years. There is no logical connection between the two for the purposes of this discussion. Think before you post.
  18. How about Workman? Maybe he's the starter we need? He pitched very well against one of the best offenses in the league.
  19. This team's medical staff is awful, and probably the one true weak link in the organization. If the players don't trust the team's medical stuff, it is a big big problem
  20. Hey, i just told what i would have done and said i agree to disagree. I respect your opinion on that, and think it'd have been an acceptable course of action.
  21. He tried throwing before getting a second opinion. He felt sore. They told him to keep pitching and that it was just an inflamed trap. He felt sore in a different area, got shut down, then went to see Dr. Andrews. I would've tried throwing before going for the second opinion first as well, but we can agree to disagree as well.
  22. Just for curiosity, what do you think i should do different? The way i see it, i mainly stick to the topic at hand and i will attack the post and/or thought process behind it. Last night was a good example, because there's a difference between saying "That's a stupid thing to think/say" and "You're stupid".
  23. You're not answering my question though. If you were Buch, and these people misdiagnosed a broken back and then misdiagnosed your initial problem, would you have done things differently than he did? It's an honest question trying to gain some perspective here.
  24. But they'd still take the cap hit for the remainder of A-Rod's contract no matter how they choose to pay him the money iirc.
  25. I'll keep beating this drum: Napoli is about to go on a tear.
