  1. ^Correct. Remember the arguments about JD Drew? It was never for lack of wanting to play, but his body was just frail and took a long time to heal, to the point where he went for some pretty extravagant treatments to try and get his body to respond. Anyways, it's easy to call players "pussies" or "soft" from the comfort of one's couch.
  2. But there is truth to what he speaks. In certain situations, the impact of a single "manufactured" run on WPA is massive.
  3. Really really love this post.
  4. "Dombrowski can do no wrong" is the honest truth.
  5. $13 million swingman. Who knows? Maybe next year it's a good half-year, as is his trend.
  6. Sometimes I, too, forget that baseball players are robots who are immune to the long-term consequences of aggravating an injury because of bravado and stupidity.
  7. The Red Sox own Chris Archer hard. He has a 5.82 ERA and 1.693 WHIP lifetime against the Sox, and an 8.10 ERA with 1.860 WHIP this season. This game is as close to Buchholz and BP proof as possible.
  8. If they don't know how to bunt, why would you make them?
  9. I think it's hilarious how people are jumping off the Xander bandwagon as soon as he struggled for a stretch.
  10. I still think they get him right and Owens ends up being the better pitcher.
  11. But why let common sense get in the way of a good argument?
  12. You think Lou Merloni, Dennis Eckersley and Jerry Remy are ignorant? Those guys have forgotten more baseball than we'll ever know. They criticize specific decisions to create commentary for us, the viewing (or listening) audience, and are rarely wrong. Give it a rest.
  13. Arroyo had cornrows.
  14. This post is flawless.
  15. This is exactly where I stand on the Pablo signing, to a T. The problem is, why sign Hanley then? This is a question MVP and I have been posing for a while.
  16. I see what you did there.
  17. Bro, you know me about as well as you know your way around a woman's privates.
  18. No, you totally do. Own it up. CP was banging the "Moncada is a generational talent" drum way earlier and harder than you were, yet he doesn't pretend he "knew" anything about his development or the FO's thinking. You've spent a month humble-bragging and pounding your chest for what amounts to a desperation move and a lucky guess. Sorry, I call 'em like I see 'em.
  19. He was talking about SoxNCycles, not you.
  20. 'twas a joke.
  21. A Cafardo fluff piece? Welcome back Jonathan Papelbon!
  22. I still like the best hitter on the team in the leadoff spot. Everyone can think whatever they want, but my opinion stands: Mookie's skill combination works great out of the #1 hole.
