  1. Knowing that the Red Sox can now bludgeon or outpitch other teams in order to win helps me sleep at night.
  2. So filthy though. Martin had no chance on the hook he K'd on. Just unfair.
  3. Then again, it was Toronto at Toronto, and the ball was flying out of the park. The guy we hammered into oblivion was the AL ERA leader before today's showing.
  4. Make it easy Kimbrel why don't you.
  5. Time to hammer this scrub.
  6. Seriously, you need some reading comprehension classes.
  7. Do you actually know how to read? What I'm saying is that the discussion we were having is is valid. I did not belittle his opinion in any way, shape or form. He was whining about our discussion. Think before you post.
  8. What about the current young offensive core of this team?
  9. We'll never know exactly what happened with the Lester negotiations. What we do know is that they are stand-alone moves, and as stupid as the Lester offer was, the Moncada signing has the makings of an excellent acquisition.
  10. Lost in the shuffle is Hanley's quietly monster stretch. .325/.382/.638 1.020 OPS over the last 30 days. He's also bumped his OPS against righties to an above-average .749 OPS (108 OPS+).
  11. You've always been a big fan of Wedge. Too bad his Mariners tenure ended the way it did. f*** Jack Zdurienick,
  12. We are engaging in (what I deem to be) some interesting Red Sox baseball discussion in this, a Red Sox baseball discussion site. Analysis of the effectiveness of this FO's spending habits is welcome discussion IMO.
  13. The Yankees' offer was reportedly 25 mill, and they were the third bidder, per reports. So there was another offer that was pretty close to the Sox.
  14. The pitcher he was back then is not the pitcher he is right now. That said, the dinger-itis is still worrying.
  15. I dislike Maddon though. f*** him and his hippie ********.
  16. They did not. Remember they ended up paying 60 million because of the tax penalty. The 30 million of the actual offer didn't blow the other teams out of the water.
  17. I like Bruce Bochy.
  18. This year, you swore to the heavens Porcello was a 4-type who would never replicate his 2014. Mea culpa please.
  19. So you would have preferred they don't break the bank for a premium, sure-as-it-gets type young player?
  20. I'm expecting an SBF style mea culpa from him and Ted.
  21. ...and have more complicated mechanics, and come from playing year-round baseball when their bodies aren't even fully developed, the usage of breaking balls has increased, as well as the quality of hitters, and of course, the amount of money paid to these guys. All reasons to try to protect their arm as much as possible.
  22. My reading comprehension is fine, you are just making s*** up.
  23. Ok, so that's not what I said, is what you're saying. Cool.
  24. Show me exactly where I said that.
