  1. Cecchini does not have a higher upside than WMB. On an analysis where you project both of them maximizing both their offensive and defensive abilities, WMB takes the cake by a lot. What Cecchini has is a much higher floor than WMB, but with a lower ceiling. Middlebrooks rates 65-70 on power in a lot of scouting reports. That is exceptional.
  2. I didn't post my reasoning. A post can be well written with a point that makes very little sense, with your post being the poster boy for such an occurrence. You are saying that keeping a clearly unfair aspect of the game as it is instead of upgrading it and making it fair is bad for the game because it "brings down entertainment value". I'm sorry, that's just dumb bro. The point about having too many challenges may be somewhat valid, but that is only the proposed system, certain to be hashed out before being implemented, and it will probably mean more than two challenges, but it will depend on the situation. Your ideas are quite simply logically unsound, no matter how well they are presented. I bet if the Sox lost the division by one game this season because of a clear mistake by a member of the umpiring crew that could have been amended with expanded replay, you would be singing a different tune, regardless of "challenge numbers".
  3. Right right. Boo-yah!
  4. This may be the dumbest argument i've ever heard against anything. I can't even find a funny example to compare it to. Please stop. You know what's fum for the fans? Fairness. The outcome of a game should never be left in the hands of the "human element".
  5. This is why i didn't wanna start that GT. Next thing you know, BDSM mojo sweeps the Skanks.
  6. If he says it again, a smack with the ban hammer may be in order, because seriously.
  7. Dude, Kruk gets more tail than you ever will. And by tail, i mean the tails of the entire cows/oxes and other assorted animals which he swallows whole.
  8. Stewart may be the worst position player in all of MLB. He can't hit, throw, run or play D. What a waste of a roster spot. I hope the Yankees keep him around for as long as possible.
  9. Thornton K's the righty, gives up a hit to a lefty who can't hit lefties. DFA plz.
  10. That's his comeback for anyone who calls him out on his convenient work schedule that allows him to get him just as the Yankees take a lead or are charging furiously trying to come back from a shrinking deficit.
  11. Is Jacko conveniently working tonight to help provide us with our welfare checks even though most of us have jobs that may pay better than his?
  12. And get eliminated right? Because the ALDS is a best-of-five.
  13. If the Sox win 99, then i believe it will be the greatest turn-around ever.
  14. If the season ended today, Koji would have: The best single-season WHIP of any pitcher ever, the 16th best single-season ERA among relievers, 43rd best BB/9, 56th best K/9, 7th best K/BB and 62nd in WAR, even though almost everyone who's higher on that list has at least 30 IP on him. To top all off, he's first in Fangraphs' dollar value for a single-season (for a relief pitcher), and the season ain't even over. Let that sink in.
  15. ....and there's the possibility that they could actually be turned away. "You know what? You can't get that, not even here."
  16. Koji: 1.06 ERA, 0.56 WHIP, 94 K's (!) in 67.2 IP. Just sayin'.
  17. Had to pick up the slack with YOTN and BTR missing.
  18. RSFFL needs to continue the countdown and remind them of their imminent demise.
  19. I thought it was physically impossible, but Koji's f***s given have actually reached negative numbers. As of right now, Koji is giving -2 f***s.
  20. I think "seething hatred you have for me" would be a more accurate statement. Not me though, i like you. Your suffering sustains me.@Jacko
  21. Well ridiculous statements are kinda S13's thing. That and sentence construction akin to a guinea pig on adderal. No offense meant.
  22. You know, some people here work during the day. Some people here work consulting jobs with flexible schedules. The one thing you can count on is none of them being as much of an ******* as you are about the "i have a job thing". Pretty much everyone who's drinking age here has a f***ing job. It's not a world-shattering accomplishment.
  23. ....says someone who clearly doesn't understand stats.
