He really isn't. He guilt-tripped the MLB into firing an employee, which is awful. But A-Rod, by all accounts, did at least three things (helping other people get PED's, f***ing up the investigation, attempting to bribe a witness) that are worse if you look at it objectively.
Don't get me wrong, i think Braun should have gotten worse punishment, but he had what A-Rod didn't: The foresight to give up after he got caught red-handed and accept a deal. A-Rod's increased penalty is in large part his own doing. He just had to shut his f***ing mouth and negotiate with the MLB instead of trying to bribe a witness and murk up the investigation.
