  1. Public perception of his memory.
  2. What I've read so far is that he got into an argument with his GF and was very emotional. Let's hope that was the trigger and not drugs/alcohol.
  3. Scherzer's going to end up with 20+ IP and 70+ K over Lester. ERA alone can't overcome that.
  4. If there's an open spot for him (3B) then what's the "situation"? Besides, why would the Sox trade a guy who profiles as a generational talent if things break right? Moncada's the type of talent of talent you develop instead of trading. Looking bad during a cup of coffee at the MLB level does absolutely nothing to change that.
  5. I'm going to send your post to a legal logic professor I know. All of the logical fallacies would be enough to get him through an entire semester of examples.
  6. With Andrew Miller being the notable exception. I'm betting the "relief ace" designation will catch on soon, and "true firemen" are going to be the ones making the big bucks instead of one-inning closers.
  7. Chapman is not going to be a member of the Boston Red Sox. Not only the financial implications, but also the existence of one Craig Kimbrel.
  8. Don't tell me how to live my life.
  9. I'm rooting for Thunder here. Win for Jose!
  10. Jon Lester ain't beating Mad Max for the NL Cy.
  11. 17 per annum for a minimum of 6 years. And Jansen is also getting more than four years.
  12. Also, the AL East has been a landmine field to navigate, with two of the other teams he's facing being top-10 offenses in MLB. Kluber's divisional competition has been weaker, and he hasn't been as consistent as Porcello this season. All important factors.
  13. Chapman is getting way more than 4/60. You can take that to the bank.
  14. Even among the pitchers, Pomeranz was a better option, since he hit and ran the bases regularly as an NL pitcher.
  15. You couldn't hit right with a sniper rifle from four feet out. I'm not forgetting anything. You're just cherry picking stats to defend a moment of idiocy from Farrell. Nothing more, nothing less.
  16. Texas is losing big, Cleveland already lost.
  17. Mookie with the Macarena bitches!
  18. What are you even talking about? Your points are all over the place and they're all dead wrong. Wright was an integral rotation piece, fact. Sending out a guy who hasn't run the bases since high school 15 years ago to pinch run was just asking to have what happened happen, and the announcers called it on the spot. Just stop.
  19. The gift of SFF. Drink it in, man.
  20. Holy s*** that's terrible.
  21. Britton has an 0.57 ERA and 0.837 WHIP.
  22. Lineup construction has never been Farrell's problem. Pitching management had (ironically) been his weak spot. He's been pushing all the right buttons for a while now though.
  23. His cut fastball/change percent has trended downward since he came to the sox, and the percentages themselves are still not far off what a typical four-pitch mix represents. His real problem is not repertoire. Dude is tired and has trouble throwing strikes. Look it up on google, Farrell said it himself.
  24. Because of game to game scoring variances, it's impossible to look at it from that perspective IMO.
