    I've followed the team for "helluva of a longer than you" , and exclusively too. That doesn't mean i have to be annoyingly impatient about everything Red Sox related all the time.

    How are you doing SK? You were gone there for a bit. As you know, i'm a big fan of Masterson's, and i think Fenway actually helps neutralize LH power for pitchers like him.

    Stays healthy isn't a given. But he'll hit, and remember, he reached out to Boston, not the other way around. And it's funny you like Sandoval at third base 'cause i didn't like the signing at all, but i still try to see some good coming out of it. Also, if "history repeats itself", we won two WS with a Ramirez patrolling LF. Food for thought.

    Exactly zero people have said that the Sox will be ok if they don't get a #1. The closest thing to that that has been said is that the Sox can stand pat and land a rental during the season. Take the time to actually read what others say and/or stop making stuff up. Also, people are excited about these guys because no matter what, they're better than most of the crap we put out there last season. Stop being such a whiner.

    Masterson had been the picture of health for a number of years, but just happened to have a down year due to injuries. It happens, and it's nothing related to structural damage or catastrophic. As for the fact that the rotation still needs work, everybody knows that.

    Dude, we both agree that they still need a #1, and they're going to get him. Why work yourself up when there's plenty of time and there are plenty of options? Shields, Scherzer, Cueto, et al are all still out there. If they were gone/extended, i'd be complaining too.

    The impact of Bogaert's defensive shortcomings will be minimized by having two very high-quality defenders to either side of his position. Not to mention that Miley and Masterson are also pretty decent at striking hitters out. That's the thing i didn't like about Porcello.
