  1. Starting pitching isn't the only part of run prevention. The Phils played good D and had a lights-out BP.
  2. We can't agree on anything because you're just not very smart Fred. That's a joke btw. But maybe if you just found a way to stop being a condescending prick all the time, i could let it go. In fact, here's what i plan to do. I won't respond to a single one of your posts and wait to see how long you can last without being a dick. As long as you hold out, so will I.
  3. You know who else looked like he was never going to be able to hit MLB pitching? Carlos Gomez. JBJ doesn't have that kind of power/ speed, but they have a similar Hit/Defense tool. Some guys just take a while to get going. It's easy to make these assesments with the benefit of hinsight.
  4. I can read it now: "Rizzo stinks, another blunder by Ben the Boob"-a700hitter
  5. a700 is just a mass of contradictions. He'll move the goalposts without mercy as long as it allows him to get a shot at the FO. Adorable.
  6. That's a load of bull. Gonzales has outproduced Rizzo in a much worse offensive stadium, and Casey Kelly has done nothing. The Crawford contract was the issue. Goddamn, get your facts straight.
  7. It wouldn't be a shocker to me. John Henry said they wouldn't mind going over the LT since they have some big money coming off the books soon.
  8. Also, saying Bradley "can't hit ML pitching at all" is an exercise in foolishness, because you can't accurately project whether or not he'll adjust based on one season. That runs you the risk of trading him away and then having him turn into Denard Span. He may or may not. We just don't know, but no one on this site can throw out a definitive statement like that because it's ridiculous.
  9. That's not how farm systems work. Prospects take time to develop in both the minors and majors, and they can also be used to trade for major league talent. So besides Xander and Vasquez, the farm system essentially produced Wade Miley as well.
  10. 3.88 team ERA. This stuff takes 30 seconds to look up.
  11. 2014 Angels, most mid-2000 Yankees.
  12. Fred's too easy. a700's a bigger challenge because he's relatively smarter.
  13. ^Aces
  14. Nah, they're just stupid. Henry is a prune face, Lucchino is an old slithering snake, and Ben is a boob/fred
  15. With the caveat that all-hit, no run prevention teams are unlikely to win in the postseason even if they do reach it.
  16. Not to ruffle any feathers, but fred shouldn't be calling anyone out on entitlement.
  17. That may be the most ironic post i've ever read on this site.
  18. It does make sense if they valued Scherzer/Shields higher than Lester in the first place. We just don't know.
  19. They don't need a lot of luck to be a 90 win team right now though. Just a bounceback from Masterson, and relative non-suck from Buchholz.
  20. They're already over the luxury tax, and this has been repeated ad nauseum. Do some research.
  21. I really, really like you. Please stick around and post more!
  22. Pal, there needs to be some whining around here, otherwise talksox wouldn't be talksox.
  23. I'd try to strike now on Scherzer. He has to be feeling the pressure.
  24. You didn''t read the thread title brah.
