    But when we start raking again and we will, along with a few quality starts, this team looks like it can make a run. Then we go a few games the other way. Real frustrating sometimes, but as long as we have a shot, hope is there. Better than last year. We can't get stupid and trade away any more talent unless were getting = value. I want to see what Moncada, Benny, Kopech, and Devers and a few others can do on our team. We have the talent and can use more, but lets not screw up what could be a power house team in the near future. I would bet that at least 2 or 3 of our top 5 will be special, and at least one will be a stud. Just saying... And by the way, I would love to have Sale, but the way he whips the ball, it looks like he will be having elbow issues. Maybe not, but the torque he throws with looks scary.

    All of a sudden we get him and he is messed up for most of the year. Erod is coming around but struggled. Kelly, Buch, etc. Most of it is on these guys, but you have to look at the coaching from top to bottom. As mentioned in many posts, the same with the development program. If a pitcher is on his game everything is peachy, but as soon as he starts to have problems, all you get from Farrell is the positives. Not a well coached team at all. Too many mental mistakes and very poor in game managing.

    Sox are a very good young team right now, but not a great team. Hopefully we grow into a great team. Great teams figure out how to pull out games and not keep putting themselves into tough spots. Once we get the pitching staff figured out, an everyday left fielder, and a few other pieces, we should be right there. Not sure that the manager is the guy to lead us to the top rung. For this year if we can somehow get into the play offs, who knows.

    We come back 4 runs down and now are down 3 again. Farrell's in game managing sucks. Maybe he takes out Wright earlier and the pen gives it up anyway, but to let the starter give up 8 runs....WTF

    Bryce is nothing. A fill in guy that wouldn't even be on the team if it weren't for some injuries. Last night showed how poor our bench was when we had the bases loaded again and no one good to pinch hit.

    We've had a lot of can't miss prospects over the years that missed. Once in a while one comes along that is a franchise player. Look back to the gold dust twins Lynn and Rice. The hype with them in the line up was crazy. Still early in the game, but with the killer B's Betts, Bogie, and Bradley at such a young age were pretty lucky. People keep going back and forth on Moncada or Benny being traded for a starter. There is no way of knowing right now how good they will be. If you trust your baseball IQ and really believe that Moncada is the cream of the crop, you would have to be a fool to let him go. Right now we have a lot of talent in our rotation, but things aren't clicking for a few of them. Personally if I was going to trade guys like that it would be for a young stud like Arenado and have him at 3b. You have to keep the main core of young star players together and enjoy them mature.

    I wouldn't mind having Verlander in my rotation. Doesn't throw 100 anymore, but is very crafty and knows how to win. Makes mucho money though...

    I agree, but if you do, you better have someone coming in behind him. If you had a Nomar at AAA, you might trade Bogie to get that stud pitcher. Still tough to part with a guy that might produce for 10 years knowing a pitcher can blow up at any time.

    So we started out with starting pitching depth and now 2 of them in the pen. One ready for a straight jacket. I know no one wants to lose any more prospects, but I have a feeling at least one more big move is coming. I love Ziggy, not sure yet on Pom. If Erod keeps it together, we know he can be real good and who knows how good down the road. DD gets paid to make these decisions. If him and UH Henry feel they are all in for this year, anything can happen. I really don't think Moncada is going anywhere, but who knows. I want a team built to contend for a few years, so they better make smart moves...

    Okay, Kelley called up, Hembree sent down. Hopefully he can dominate for an inning or so and help shore up the bullpen. Worth a try at this point.
