  1. Right now none of it matters, unless DD comes away with 2 Machado and JD, or we will be chasing the Yanks and never catch them. They are a move or 2 away from dominating for the next 5 years. It's a critical time for this team.
  2. I agree, so many things good and bad can occur between now and then. Take it year by year and just try to keep improving. The right 2 or 3 moves can make all the differance in the world. Just as the wrong couple of moves can backfire. That being said, I feel the one guy that must have management edgy is Bogey. He has been good, but is he going to be the elite player, the show stopper, right now I think not. If he was, he could take the offense to the next level. He just seems like a tough one to figure right now. Just saying
  3. Just what we don't need is another guy with no pop. Start with JD and go from there...
  4. Fire his butt. Shaw hit 31 homers and we got what for him. I'm not saying Shaw is the second coming of Machado, but come on. You have to be able to evaluate talent. Worst case he plays 3b for us last year and hits 25 + homers and knocks in 80 - 100 RBI's. I'll take it all day long. He or Devers goes to IB and that solves that problem. If we wanted to get him back, what do you think it would cost us DD. Real good move..
  5. Really, you don't think we need a middle of the order power hitter. I agree you can never have enough pitching, but this team needs someone to thump, and make the line up better. Not just to homers, but to also make everyone around him better. Guys will see better pitches to hit and so on.
  6. I'm in too.
  7. This is a huge off season for us because with the emergence of Judge, next year the Yanks will be going Balls out For Harper. In 2 years do we have Stanton, JD, Machado, on this team. Its not my money but I'd love to see it. Who knows what Devers and Betts will be putting up for numbers. Nice to dream
  8. There no one player on this team outside of Sale that I wouldn't trade for him. Now if were talking multiple talents thats another story. Jeter looking to get to a 90 million payroll I think would be happy to get one headliner with a combination of a couple other players. If not, we go to plan "B". I really believe right now we need two power guys and look at another move for a starter. My xmas list anyways. DD is chartering in dangerous waters right now after firing Farrell. His main line of defense is gone, so he's capable of doing anything at this point.
  9. Putting a team together for next year that can go farther is our main goal. Having a show stopper like Stanton would create so much excitement and really lift us. When Pedro and Clemons pitched, no one missed the game. When Papi came up everyone watched. Sure there is always risk, but considering the upside, we have to do it. At some point even if he ends up as our DH who cares. We still have to tweak our starting pitching, but bringing back the thunder to our team is critical. Look at the awe Judge brought this year to the Yanks. They would be sitting home like us without him.
  10. Jeter was stated as saying he wants to get his payroll in the 90 million dollar range and some un popular decisions will have to be made. We have to go hard after Stanton and offer up only as much as we have to. I don't really believe in windows like a lot of people do especially when you have owners willing to pay. It all boils down to having some key people that can evaluate talent. If we have to give up un proven players like Groome, etc you have to do it. Stanton could be that once in a life time player.
  11. Not a big fan of Farrell, but at least now DD has his ass on the line. I don't care about all the drama about why JF got axed. All I care about is that we make some smart moves this off season and put a better team on the field with some thunder. I knew back before the trade deadline that the lack of power would hurt us. Stanton is a monster and will be a friggen god in Boston if we can get him. If Miami actually decides to move him and we can get him we have to do it. The Yankees have Judge and probably will go after Harper when he goes to FA, so we better make some big moves or we'll be sucking air. Bogie, Bradley = 40 hr's. Stanton, JD alone can poss. hit 90+. I'd put a package of Bogie, Bradley, Groome, and what ever to get Stanton. Sign JD, and go for a SS. Any combination of 2 players on our roster for Stanton and I'm in..
  12. Pitcher nibbling and dick umpire bites
  13. Strike 3 was off the plate but have to be swinging. Ump screwed us..
  14. Did anyone expect anything more from him. This team has no moxie......
  15. If we go 3 and out, he has to go along with some of the lame ass players we have... We right now have no franchise player.. out side of Sale, and thats debatable..
  16. No one on this team is above being traded. Right now we have a good team, but not a team built to go deep. I knew early on that we were lacking much needed fire power. I really didn't think the starters would fall off like they did, but what diff. does it make with a weak hitting line up. Should be a interesting winter.
  17. Who would have ever believed Doug Fister would be pitching this game. This whole team and from office to every player should be evaluated. The fans deserve better than this ********..
  18. I said a long time ago, no way near enough fire power in this line up. Anything can happen once the playoffs start, but I didn't like this line up since before the trade deadline. No true power guy in this ball park is a big mistake. It won't matter for this year anyways if our starters don't pick it up...
  19. Nice to have Rem Dog back.. That's what we have been missing..
  20. Put him over at 1b. Dh Moreland and HR. Matter of fact tell HR not to come to the park until he gets a hair cut. How the hell can you play ball looking lie that. The one thing and only thing I like about the Yankees is the dress code.
  21. Totally agree. This just feels real bad...
  22. At least your dog got to take a healthy one. Hope he pissed on the neighbors shrubs too...lol
