The Revolution have become probably the most irrelevant club in MLS, thanks to the Krafts not really giving a sh*t.
In order for the Revolution to get out of the shadow of the Patriots, they need to literally get out of the shadow of the Patriots and play in their own 20,000 seat stadium.
And they need to play in or very close to Boston. Eastie, Wonderland, maybe Suffolk Downs depending on how the casino thing plays out. I guess Assembly Square is not an option anymore...It would have been the perfect spot. Close to Boston, two interstates, an immigrant community, etc....
They need a smaller stadium filled to capacity, a way to carve out their own identity, and a way to build atmosphere. 13,000 Revs fans singing songs in a 65,000 stadium is just depressing. But God bless those diehards.
