  1. I've heard the rumor as well. Reportedly the Mets would give up 3B/1B prospect Mark Vientos. article here: https://fansided.com/2022/07/29/mlb-rumors-red-sox-mets-trade-martinez-vazquez/ Vientos is an interesting prospect, he's hitting .852 OPS with 18 HRs in AAA Syracuse. But here's the scary thing. If this trade goes through, does this give Chaim 'I love trading away homegrown talent' Bloom the perfect excuse to get rid of Rafael Devers next season? In theory I don't mind giving up a 34 year old DH in Martinez, even though he's one of our best hitters. He's aging, and he's still not as important arguably as a position player. Giving up Vazquez would be a tough pill to swallow though. He's our starting catcher and one of the better hitting catchers in the MLB. There's no 'ready' position for Vientos unless we kick him to 1st base, which is a less valued position than 3B, or we trade away Devers to give him a place to play. If this deal were to happen, then it's likely that Bloom deals away Devers to 'make room' for Vientos and then deals away Bogaerts next season, to 'make room' for Story. Bloom can't deal Bogaerts now because Story just got diagnosed with a hairline wrist fracture that will put him out for at LEAST 1 month. But I'm pretty sure Bloom will dismantle this team to remake in his own image, just seems to have that kind of ego based on his past history of dealings.
  2. I see you're a card carrying member. Rejoice in your worship of Bloom while you can! I'm not sure that Boston ownership will be as patient if the Red Sox are still in the dumpster by the end of this season. Your list was a list of all the sins you have absolved of the Messiah, Chaim Bloom. For he can make no mistakes. So what is the point in reading the list again since by definition of the Bloom Simp Club, Chaim Bloom is incapable of making mistakes? PS Will you also subscribe to Blooms OnlyFans for the low, low price of just 19.99 a month? Oh you're already subscribed. I see... Well have fun with that!
  3. Bravo! Someone who is willing to face facts. I don't know when this trend started - Red Sox management is suddenly immune to criticism for making mistakes? Epstein and Cherington brought us championships. I don't remember them being IMMUNE to fan criticism. And they were even fired after making enough mistakes. What has Bloom done for us exactly? Nothing except gut the team and rid it of its best talent in his 3 years here?
  4. Chaim Bloom would like to thank all his loyal SIMPS for supporting him through all these difficult times over the past 3 years with the Red Sox. "I know I've traded away our best players. I know I've traded some value into almost ZERO value. But what matters is that you BELIEVE in me. Forgive me for my mistakes, because they are not really mistakes. No they are the decisions of a god-like being descended down to walk among men. My words and my decisions are DESTINY!" "I promise you that all will be well. Do not look at our record. Do not look at our product on the field. Just look into my eyes, my dark charming eyes and believe that this team is in the best hands possible! Also my OnlyFans will soon be open to offer exclusive content to my ardent Bloom Simps fanbase!!"
  5. There's nothing wrong with being a homosexual either btw. Insults that center around that phrasing more reflect the immaturity of the poster who made it.
  6. Translation. Everyone who disagrees with me is a moron. Translation. I'm still wearing my Chaim Bloom for President T-shirt! Chaim Simps for LIFE!!! Sadly, not everyone is willing to EXCUSE all of Blooms mistakes. 3rd year in charge and the product on the field is PUTRID. True Red Sox FANS will call out the team's GAFFS and demand improvement. Simps just make excuses for the very people who slap them in the face and take their money for a BAD product. FACT. The Red Sox have had great GMs in the past. And when those GMs made mistakes they were fired for it. But at least several of those GMs brought the Red Sox a championship - Epstein, Cherington. etc. Nothing about what Bloom has done suggests the Red Sox are building anywhere close to a championship team. Last I checked we're in the CELLAR of the AL East with no prospects of challenging for even the playoffs. REALITY CHECK.
  7. Translation. Simping for Bloom CONFIRMED. FACT - Red Sox are in last place in the AL East. FACT - Red Sox gave up 28 runs. FACT - Red Sox have one of the worst hitting Outfields in the MLB. FACT - Chaim Bloom put this team together thanks to his moves. FACT - Simps will Simp.
  8. Let me translate. All GMs are not perfect. Duh. There's no perfect GM. You don't blame Bloom for ANY of his mistakes. Roger that. GM's don't need to take responsibility for their mistakes. The fans must EXCUSE them all! SMH. I didn't know that GM SIMPING was a thing. But I guess there's always one. Trade deadline is coming up. Red Sox are a sinking ship and that GM that you hold blameless for every mistake he's made? Well he put together this team. Let's see if he can fix it. Balls in your court, Bloom! What are you gonna do now? Just please don't get FLEECED as badly as you did in the Betts and Renfroe trades. Is that too much to ask? For you not to BUNGLE again the trades that matter the most?
  9. There's lies, there's damn lies, and then there's statistics! I like WAR and fWAR, defensive metrics, and offensive metrics. They're fun. But what matters most is results on the field. This team looks woefully bad. And the man to blame is the guy who put it all together. Giving us the worse hitting outfield in baseball. Literally giving away talent and getting scraps back in return. Chaim Bloom is this forum's whipping post for a reason. He done GOOFED! And multiple times. Bad trade after bad trade. We're in last place in the AL East, we've given up a team record 28 runs, and we haven't even beaten a single division rival in a series yet and it's about to turn to August on the calendar. What does all that tell you? The Red Sox suck. Heads need to roll if the ship doesn't get righted, and soon!
  10. JD Martinez is a great hitter but he's a DH and he just turned 34. If he's the price of getting back the Mets #4 prospect, you'd have to think hard about it. I don't feel like we're in a position to give up our starting catcher though. So Vazquez needs to stay, maybe substitute him with one of the catcher prospects in our system. It's looking more and more likely that the Red Sox will sell at the deadline. The question is will they get back a good return or will Bloom get FLEECED yet again?
  11. I'm pretty sure it came out recently that Mookie would have accepted the Red Sox offer if they matched the Dodgers. Mookie wanted to stay with Boston, he just wanted to get paid what he was worth. It was the Red Sox and Chaim Bloom who decided to let him go. https://www.masslive.com/redsox/2022/07/mookie-betts-says-if-boston-red-sox-offered-him-the-deal-dodgers-gave-him-he-would-have-accepted-it-report.html
  12. Why has nobody lauded Bloom's latest blockbuster move? On July 25th 2022, Chaim 'genius' Bloom only gave up cash considerations for 33 year old outfielder, Abraham Almonte. https://www.nbcsports.com/boston/red-sox/red-sox-acquire-abraham-almonte-trade-brewers Our season is SAVED!!! Please consider that Almonte had a slash line of .216/.331/.399 in 64 games with the Braves in 2021. Surely you can see the Red Sox have cornered the market on outfielders who can barely hit major league pitching. Nobody will see us coming! With astute moves like this, Bloom is surely winning over the skeptical BoSox fans!
  13. Perhaps it will be time to revisit this thread depending on what Bloom does at the deadline. Regardless he should feel on the hot seat now. He has made a lot of bad moves. He has failed to keep our best homegrown players. And worst of all he doesn't look like he has a plan. Ball is in your court, Bloom. Your move!
  14. Like the saying goes - even a blind squirrel finds a nut. Let's see what Bloom does by the trade deadline. August 2nd is just a week away. I just hope Bloom doesn't trade away Devers. That would be a body blow. I don't think many Red Sox fans would feel very happy about that.
  15. Seriously. And don't forget that the 'genius' who engineered the Verdugo trade is the guy still currently in the GM chair, Chaim Bloom. Yup let's trade a perennial all-star for an outfielder who's currently putting up a .673 OPS in Verdugo. Seems fair. Mookie Betts trade article: Red Sox trade Mookie Betts, add Alex Verdugo WWW.MLB.COM FORT MYERS, Fla. -- The Red Sox had a week for it to sink in that they were going to trade superstar Mookie Betts to the Dodgers. This, thanks to the prolonged nature of the negotiations and the many hiccups along the way. Yet, that didn’t make it any easier BTW the top prospect received from the Betts trade, Jeter Downs, oh he's sporting a nifty .139 BA and .408 OPS. Very SMALL sample size. But geez, early on, it doesn't look good! Chaim is also the author of the bring back JBJ trade. Let's trade for one of the worse hitting OFer in the majors! We don't need Hunter Renfroe's .823 OPS, the Brewers need it more! We've become the equivalent of a baseball charity, apparently. Give away good players, receive another team's bad players! But don't worry this is just a part of Chaim Bloom's 'master plan'! What 'genius' move does Bloom have in store for us next? I'm scared! Bloom has justification to be a seller with the Red Sox recent collapse in the AL East. OOF.
  16. Considering that Left Field has the LEAST amount of ground to cover in Fenway Park, if Verdugo can't play left field, I don't think he's suitable for anywhere in the outfield! Official Park measurements: Fenway Park measures 310 feet (94.5 meters) down the left field line: 379 feet (115.5 meters) in left center field; 390 feet (118.9 meters) in center field; 420 feet (128 meters) in deep center field; 380 feet (115.8 meters) in deep right field; and 302 feet (92 meters) down the right field line. Three Dimensional view: Could it be possible that Verdugo is just a mediocre defensive outfielder?
  17. Gave up 28 runs. Most runs given up by the Red Sox since 1950. WTF? This team is a JOKE! Bloom is a JOKE!! Even if we sell, do you have any confidence this Bloom guy won't make all the wrong choices? This is the guy who paid 140m/6 years for a 29 yo middleinfielder "slugging" for a grand total of .713 OPS with a .221 Batting average in Fenway Park. And traded a 30 HR bat for the JOKE of a player known as JBJ. OOF. How much more damage will Bloom do to this team?
  18. Trade Deadline is August 2nd. Hopefully someone opens up a thread on TDL transactions. Red Sox clearly need to make moves to get better. They currently can't beat any other AL East team.
  19. The Red Sox just got swept by the Rays. Ok bad news we get it. What's disturbing is the numbers when you take a deeper look overall. "How many times have the Red Sox been swept by the Rays? The Red Sox are now 2-8 against the Rays this season, and are 0-9-1 in series against AL East teams. It was the third time they'd been swept by the Rays in a four-game series, once in 2020 and the first time in 2010. Their six straight losses to the Rays ties a series record." What is terrifying to me is the fact that the Red Sox have not won a SINGLE series against AL East teams this year. Which makes us the worst team in the division despite our overall record. There is no chance to win the AL East when you can't win a SINGLE series against your rivals. We're over .500. So what. We can't beat a SINGLE division rival when it maatters. How do we fix this? Can the 'genius' Chaim Bloom undo his mistakes and make the Red Sox into contenders this year? What has to change?
  20. I really don't understand the Red Sox obsession with JBJ. He was a plus defender with a minus bat over 5 years ago. And this season we traded for him after he came off his worst offensive season .497 OPS and now we're getting another horrible one .553 OPS. Why do we keep doing this to ourselves? "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
  21. First of all that's a strawman argument. You literally can't fire the owner. But if the GM makes a bunch of bad moves and puts the team in worse position than before, the owner has every right to use his brain and say, hey you know what I made a BAD HIRE, I should FIRE this Bloom dude and get someone else who can do a better job! Second of all that argument makes ZERO sense. If you were to accept that nonsense premise, it would mean that no GM in the history of baseball would ever be held responsible for any bad moves they made because it was 'done with the owner's blessing'. Talk about logical fallacy!
  22. Sounds like Wade Boggs type numbers. And that guy was a DUDE for the Red Sox for a long time. He'd still be a hell of an improvement over the sub .600 OPS group of outfielders the Red Sox are trotting out onto the field now. But prospects right? So who did we get back and what are they doing now?
  23. All of the excuses aside the Red Sox outfield is putrid. Looking at that depth chart is total CRINGE. From left to right: Alex Verdugo .214 BA .255 OBP .576 OPS 3 HRs Enrique Hernandez .195 BA .266 OBP .565 OPS 1 HR Jackie Bradley Jr .203 BA .266 OBP .588 OPS 1 HR Are we literally looking at the worst outfield in the MLB right now? *sarcastic golf clap* This brought to you by the genius moves of Chaim Bloom. Forget about mashing baseballs, this outfield couldn't even mash a potato. Stats from MLB.com: Alex Verdugo Stats, Age, Position, Height, Weight, Fantasy & News | New York Yankees WWW.MLB.COM Alex Verdugo Stats, Age, Position, Height, Weight, Fantasy & News Enrique Hernández Stats, Age, Position, Height, Weight, Fantasy & News | Los Angeles Dodgers WWW.MLB.COM Enrique Hernández Stats, Age, Position, Height, Weight, Fantasy & News Jackie Bradley Jr. Stats, Age, Position, Height, Weight, Fantasy & News | MLB.com WWW.MLB.COM Jackie Bradley Jr. Stats, Age, Position, Height, Weight, Fantasy & News PS Wouldn't Hunter Renfroe look good in Red Sox uniform right about now? Why can't we get players like that... oh right cos Chaim Bloom just trades them away! Early Returns on Hunter Renfroe trade look GOOD for Brewers.
  24. We have to sign Devers. He is the red sox best player and hasn't even entered his prime yet at age 25. If bloom loses devers, his head must roll. You can't lose homegrown superstar talent for nothing. The red sox dumped all-star/mvp caliber outfielder mookie betts for verdugo and a grab bag of prospects and their outfield is one of the worst in MLB right now. We also dumped the 30 homerun bat of hunter renfroe and acquired a negative bat, sub .600 ops, in jackie bradley jr. All of these wounds are self-inflicted. Dumping home-grown talent in favor of paying free agents who end up doing very little for us compared to the players that we lost. Talent is going out instead of coming in, that's the wrong way to grow the team, and don't tell me it's about saving money when you blew 140m dollars on a 30 year old second baseman. It's just bad baseball moves, period. KEEP Devers, or get the hell out of our town, Bloom!!
