  1. This At this point I don't care how we win. Just win
  2. Could be a tough game. Just win boys any means possible.
  3. Let us pray Astros are resting lots of players. Basically have to avoid a sweep.
  4. I will take his inconsistencies any day over Porcello's.... When Porcello has a bad game he absolutely destroys our chances. Guy can't go more than 5 innings lately without giving up 5 or 6 runs plus. E-Rod's last start he actually looked very very good. I can't see anyone getting the third spot over him. He is young and will have the playoff jitters but I feel much safer with him than a Porcello at this point.
  5. Good post!! I like the optimism. I'm a little scared as our supposed three top pitchers were god awful their last three starts. Thank god for the win last night but this offense might have to put up at least 8 plus runs every game for us to have a chance in the playoffs. And I'm just not sure they are capable of doing that. I'm done with thinking maybe Porcello will be better come playoffs. He likely won't.
  6. Price has looked fantastic though.
  7. Offense real you comIng through tonight
  8. Didn't expect this kind of offensive game lol.
  9. New game now. Don't suck Porcello.
  10. Well there's one. Even if it's of fun an error lol
  11. Holy f*** Porcello. Seriously!!!!!!!!!
  12. Another awesome start. Smh
  13. Porcello is going a 9 inning no hitter tonight!!!! I feel it....... I also would be happy with 6 innings and no runs.
  14. Lmao I discovered that long ago
  15. I agree with this completely. Even when he has a horrible outing like last night he still puts up so mean strikeouts. I think he finished with 9 or 10 after just 5 innings last night. Still very entertaining pitcher to watch.
  16. Need this win. Yanks could only be two games behind us after tonight's.
  17. I won't lie.... I was the last one to panic this last week but if we lose today and the Yanks win and are only 2 games behind us with a 4 game series against the Astros I will be sweating big time..... That is way too close for comfort for me especially with how bad the starting pitching has been this last week..... Ugh I hope Porcello brings his A game tonight we really really need it!!!! I know the Astros will be resting some of their players but still..... What happens if the Yanks and Sox tie with the same record? Who has the tie breaker or how does that work again? I forget....
  18. Be that as it may.... Sale is young and has a ton of years left in him but time will tell...... If this happens again next season maybe he isn't an "Ace" He was phenomenal the first half of the year and this could just be a one off that the second half of the season hasn't been near as good..... But I completely agree if a pitcher is tired by the 2nd half of the season and starts declining then he absolutely is not an Ace. Time will tell especially come playoffs.
  19. I was posting in another thread that I think he is very under weight. To be 6'6 and weight 179 or whatever he is..... is horribly thin. Could be hard on his body going through all these innings being that thin. This isn't the first season he has started the first half as an All Star and the 2nd half has just been ok or slightly above average. He has had a fantastic year but I definitely think rest would have been a huge help to him. Of course this is my opinion as I know some don't agree. But the 8 innings last week and no rest till playoffs certainly won't help his pitching.
  20. This. The guy isn't even 180 pounds and being 6 foot 6 that is horribly under weight..... That could be a reason that contributes to him having a downhill 2nd half season..... as this isn't first time he has done it. Although it hasn't been a horrendous 2nd half of the season... It certainly hasn't been what he was throwing before the All Star break. But then again there are a lot of thin pitchers that seem to have a solid year all the way through. Price (not regarding playoffs) is usually solid from beginning to finish and he can't be much more than Sale in weight.
  21. This. And against an offensive power house team like Houston that terrifies me. We will need at least 5 runs every game to have a chance in that series. Our offense has been pretty stingy and comes back a lot in the 8th and 9th inning. Hopefully our pitchers give us a chance though. Sale outside of last Wednesday just looks burnt out to me. Very nerve wrecking come playoffs.
  22. At least they made it somewhat interesting...... I guess....
  23. Completely agreed but this isn't the series I thought we would struggle with. Astros even resting some players will be a tough series. If we get swept by the Jays and the Yanks are only down 2 games entering the Houston series I'll be s***ing my pants. No two ways about it.
  24. The offense is coming through a bit. Sale blew this one and gave us zero chance. This team is known for their late heroic games. 4 runs with our ace should be a win. Just saying.
