    Yuppers! If we lose out to Houston and lose to the Yankees that would probably go down as one of the biggest collapses in Red Sox history.

    I've been saying all along not sure what good it will do making playoffs. At this point I just hope we get one win over Houston so we aren't embarrassed on national television.

    You won't shut down Houstons power house offense more than this. Totally on the offense that we can't do jack s*** with the division on the line.

    Only trouble is we have looked bad especially pitching the last week..... Astros undressed us for who we are..... An average team and if the pitching isn't there we are quite horrible. I doubt we get swept by them in the playoffs but the Sox have done nothing this last week to prove to me that we can win that series.

    At this point it's really the less of two evils. And I guess it's Houston but at this point I'm just happy we can win the division and make playoffs. Hopefully avoid a sweep for a second straight year. Looking like we will get Houston. Hopefully we get some players back healthy and ready to play. However not quite sure what good it will do if Sale, Poms, Porcello and E Rod pitch games like they did this last week. Pretty much gives us zero chance when our pitchers can't make it past 4 innings. Regardless who is back and healthy we need Sale and Poms to have the games of their life there is no other way we can win. The offense is way too inconsistent to keep up with a powerhouse like Houston especially against a Verlander. I trust Sale and Poms will bring their A game and play like their life is on the line. Wish I could say the same about Porcello but I can't. Guy is way too off his game this year for me to trust him in a big playoff game.

    Pretty much our entire rotation has been god awful their last starts. All I hope now is that Boston doesn't get utterly embarrassed in the playoffs.

    I won't lie and I know this will sound negative but even if we win the Division the Yanks have a far better chance in the playoffs than we do. They will beat Minnesota imo and give Houston a good series. I honestly don't know how Boston will stand a chance with how bad our pitching is lately. It took us every last run last night to win pretty much.

    There is not one positive to take away from this game tonight. These last 4 game are have been pathetic. Only reason we won last night was because the offense had a rare good night and even then it was close.

    I want to argue with you but I can't. You're completely right was a pretty good season. But this is as bad of an ending as it gets.

    If we get swept (not being negative just saying) is anyone going to be excited about playoffs lol? I'll be pumped to make it in but my god if we can't come back this is a loss in 3 of our last 4 meanwhile the Yanks are rolling. Depressing way to end the season
