  1. Yes, Wade Boggs, there is no rule. When I post them though, I get as creative as I can. Seems like I'm the only one who gets amused.
  2. Pedey 2B Bogey SS Papi DH Mookie RF Hanley 1B Bradley CF Sandy C Mayor of Ding Dong City 3B Benintendi LF All of the names rhyme. Goals.
  3. Buchholz sucks. But we hit dingers. And Archer sucks more. Win. Dance. Repeat. x2
  4. I think Jared Carrabis summed up Benintendi's catch pretty well:
  5. Neither is mine, but what I was talking about here was looking at our Yahoo Fantasy League, and noticing that my best SP this season is not on the active roster.
  6. There's also an unofficial rule that states if your mojo sucks balls, you aren't allowed to start GTs.
  7. I just hope the Rays don't hit any homers. To paraphrase from Moneyball: There are good foghorns, there are bad foghorns. Then there's 50 feet of crap; and then there's them.
  8. Pedroia 2B Bogaerts SS Ortiz DH Betts RF Ramirez 1B Leon C Young LF Hill 3B Benintendi CF Win and we tie the Jays
  9. I completely agree. He and Ted are the two baseball players I would have loved to have been able to watch.
  10. Reading my weekly fantasy report this morning, they claim that it is only until the 31st. They don't plan on pitching him own there. He's in high A.
  11. Only reason he got sent up was because E-Rod told Farrell his hammy wasn't quite ready.
  12. If we can get ER and Wright healthy for September, I really like the look of this rotation. You gotta admit that in the second half, everyone's really stepped up. Pomeranz took some time to get his feet wet, but has looked magnificent in his last two starts. E-Rod has started to come around. Looks like the minor league trip to fix his tipping was beautiful. Price got a much needed confidence boost against that Orioles offense, and it will be fun to see how he pitches at the Trop, against a pathetic Rays offense. Meanwhile, we got a Cy Young candidate in Porcello (especially now that Sanchez is in the minors for two weeks), and an increasingly reliable Buchholz available as an emergency starter.
  13. The one area in the bullpen in which we are all set is closer. Kimbrel's been pretty good overall. If he loses it down the stretch, Ziegler's been pretty good overall as well, and Koji should be coming back soon, right?
  14. I am now at the point where I stop what I'm doing an eagerly watch the game whenever Porcello's pitching.
  15. Jerry Layne must have a sturdy pair of balls to be ringing up Miggy on a pitch like that.
  16. I completely agree. I believe that we can't completely put the blame on Farrell for some of these blown bullpen leads, but at the same time, I am starting to question everything about him, not just his decision making. I look back to last year. When he was on leave for his leukemia, the team was notably better than the last place product they fielded for the rest of the season.
  17. Is it just me or has Bogaerts been swinging at everything since he got into this slump?
  18. Didn't Fulmer shut us down last time?
  19. Clay was going to fly out early, but he was grounded due to the storm, and ended up flying with the rest of the team. The last thing we need is a tired Buchholz. He's bad enough when he's wide awake.
  20. Kill Dey-twah. Win. Dance. Repeat. x7
  21. I think the Tigers are trying to copy the Cubs, only to blow everything in the LCS.
  22. El Leonesa strikes again!!
