  1. So if you ever get cancer, you would just prefer to die?
  2. Rocco Baldelli probably would've broken an ankle
  3. I wasn't here when we discussed this before (if you ever did). What's the general opinion of the TS community on the Nike swooshes being on the chest of the uniforms? I have a bunch of friends that are Yankees fans that hate it for obvious reasons. I think it looks good on most teams (Yankees being one of the exceptions), but I am biased. UConn is sponsored by Nike, so every piece of attire I've gotten from the football team has basically made me a paid spokesperson.
  4. I can't tell you who won't be starting fast.... JBJ at the plate
  5. I mean it's a valid point, but if we can find a way to play sports safely, I'm all for the healing effect it will have on the country. And stop me if I'm getting too political but rich people (ballplayers) have access to resources that other people don't. It's just the way the world works. It sucks that it's like that, but it is.
  6. Not with that attitude! All I'm saying is the odds don't stop me from believing. On the field, he's a pain in my ass but I still want the best for him
  7. He'll be back eventually. I have faith in the human resolve
  8. True, considering that of the 10 ballparks he's going to pitch in, more than half of them are hitters parks. Camden Yards doesn't count though, because the Orioles offense is about as good as all their minor league teams put together
  9. Let's refrain from calling them the BJs until they actually do suck...
  10. I think Toronto might be better than us, too, especially in a shortened season. Their pitching staff got a huge boost with Ryu, and they added a couple veterans on offense. If those young bucks keep hitting, they could be dangerous. Even if it means we suck, I like the unpredictability of a shortened season. Too bad we don't get to see Yankees pitchers plunk Astros all day long. Oh well. The Dodgers still get to do it. That'll be fun
  11. I'll take that 5 spot if nobody else wants it. Not sure if I could handle the people on here that can never find anything good about a player's performance though
  12. I liked Victorino's GS in 2013, not that I would put it on this list as most important
  13. So not very well at all then?
  14. I was up past my bedtime all alone, so I had to be very quiet. It was so hard to do that. I remember my phone wallpaper being Torii Hunter upside down, and the cop celebrating right behind him for most the following winter.
  15. What a rotation that ended up being. 6 combined Cy Youngs, 5 combined no hitters. And countless clutch postseason starts
  16. My favorite will be different from everybody else's because I'm only going with moments I remember watching, and since I've been alive for a lot less time than some of you, that doesn't include some of the best ones. You asked what our favorite is. For me that would be Ortiz in 2013 ALCS game 2. It was also fairly important. No way we were winning that series if we lost that game. If we're talking about most important, I would say Mitch as well. I would rank some from 2004 higher but I do not remember watching those games
  17. That's no excuse. The rules are simple. Follow them or leave.
  18. Keep politics out of this thread
  19. I don't know half those names. Yikes.
  20. 1) Are they even open right now? I don't believe bars are open in CT yet, even bars at regular restaurants. 2) I think they have a deal with the team to only open that window/door for BP. The Sox would probably want Friday's practice to be as private as possible anyway
  21. I'm off on Friday. Maybe I'll drive by House of Blues and see if there's any HR balls to catch
  22. Maybe because we don't have any pitching prospects worthy of making the roster
  23. I'm praying for 40, but I'd be okay with anything over .500. Don't think 40 would be enough for the postseason though. Since everybody only plays a third of the teams in the league, there's not going to be as much parity as past years. Astros and Yankees could both go undefeated, theoretically
  24. Glad we don't have Tito at the helm anymore. He was notorious for having a slow April
