  1. Positive tests alone aren't going to kill it. You have to plan for those
  2. Yeah, makes it easier for us to get away with having a decent offense and no pitching
  3. So each team will play 10 games against each division opponent, and then 4 games each from the corresponding geographic division in the other league (AL East plays NL East, etc.) I feel bad for the Orioles. 40 games against the AL East, then 16 against the combination of the reigning champs, the Braves, the new look Mets, and the Phillies. The Sox might be the 4th best team in the division, so the Orioles might struggle to win 10-15 games.
  4. Beggars can't be choosers
  5. Beautiful. Much better option
  6. I'm concerned that playing in front of no fans in the current COVID hot spots is going to be an unfair advantage. The Rays and Marlins play in front of no fans every single night.
  7. Well, if they are reporting in Florida/Arizona, that might not end well, given the Phillies and Blue Jays camps shutting down this past weekend. I say bring them all up to New England. Life up here is almost back to normal and guess what? Everybody wears masks

    Golf

We were very lucky up here. Connecticut was one of the few states in the country to never shut down golf courses, so I got to play a couple months earlier than I normally would have, due to being home from school in March instead of May, and a very mild winter. Granted, it turned into a cold spring, but it gave me something to do. Unfortunately, I reaggravated a calf injury, and haven't been able to play much since the weather got nice. Everybody around here is really happy that we still get our PGA tournament, which is one of the few that kept its original date on the schedule. I tested negative yesterday, so I am officially past all barriers to volunteering. Only thing left to do is get my boss to give me Friday off. I already signed up to work on Friday, so we'll see how that goes.
  9. I agree, other than the extra space he puts between periods and commas
  10. That was an unnecessary shot at golf, good sir. I feel triggered
  11. I played cricket one time at summer camp when they were doing some sort of diversity day. I certainly didn't hate it, and I was pretty good since it combines the hand eye coordination of baseball with running, two things I'm above average at. At UConn, I'm friends with this guy who started a Cricket Club with his roommate. I don't have the time to participate, but it certainly looks fun
  12. In March I was saying that I didn't want a season at all, but that was for an entirely different reason. I still don't want a season. It just isn't worth it. Keep everybody healthy, and make 2021 even better.
  13. But if Angel Hernandez get sicks and dies..... Kidding of course
  14. Really? Wow. I didn't know that about you.
  15. Texas is high on the list but not the only one on the list. Little to no interest in FL unless it's visiting my aunt and uncle when they're there in the winter
  16. Well then can you move somewhere else so those of us that want to live somewhere where we can play year round have that opportunity? K thanks
  17. Yep. Both sides are to blame here.
  18. PGA Tour > EPL Quick shoutout to the PGA Tour though. Tomorrow they start their second tournament back. They test everybody on site, and keep players in a bubble during the week. 0 positive tests so far, and over 900 administered
  19. Please be Manny Machado...... Kidding of course. Wouldn't wish it on anybody
  20. That, my friend, is the long-established tragic flaw of the human race
  21. And the most f***ed of the major sports. I don't think they are surviving this, as I've said before. Fan base isn't there, and the CBA runs out after next season. That's going to be hell
  22. I've been thinking that since this BS began
  23. Wacky is an understatement
  24. Well some of the examples I mentioned had criminal consequences, and at the very least ruined and ended careers. You'd seriously be okay going to jail just to compete with others in your sport? Wow
