  1. Welcome. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clay_Buchholz Clay Daniel Buchholz (born August 14, 1984 in Nederland, Texas)
  2. My soccer team is not a big market team. Is far to be one. They haven't won a championship in 60 years or something. We usually play with young talent and we always have a limited payroll in order to face the seasons, but the fans of this soccer team always appreciate that the players usually leave all in the field. If not, we let them know. They don't have or show diva attitudes. They are not very well paid as other players in big market teams. The problem with big market teams beyond the sport which usually have millioner players is that the managers and the FO have to deal with some of them because sometimes the money blinds them and makes them lose the ground. Our team had lacks of leadership about this matter among others at least the last 3 years. Here is the results. Now, You need to revert all this "bad practices and attitudes". As I said, I'm not sure if Beckett, Crawford, Youk etc. have this diva attitude (Seems so) but if true, I hope that not only V but Ben and LL help him to revert this cancer.
  3. For teams like Boston and NY among a few others, making the POs is an obligation. I put this before, I'm not sure if you agree with me on this. POs obligation Win DS - Good season Win AL - Very Good season Win WS - Excelent Season.
  4. I don't care if Beckett makes his thing (take 20 s or whatever) as long as he puts 2011 numbers again, I think V won't bother either anymore.
  5. I don't know whether this think about Crawford is true or not. What I know is that Carl Crawford can't start slow again. He better put the numbers early in the season, otherwise this thing among others will play against him, regardless the pressure will be substantially more and I don't know how good is this guy handling even more pressure in an environment like Boston. Last season A-God, Ells, Ortiz among others made his job and somehow covered his bad numbers. Next season won't be the same. Next season people expect from him that once and for all put the numbers and make us forget his terrible debut season, and be the player we all saw in TB. We'll see.
  6. Ohhh, I forgot Oswald. I prefer Kuroda over Oswald, these days. But If they think that Oswald is healthy and they think he can stay healthy, then sign Oswald, if Kuroda is signed by NY.
  7. Thanks Spud, the feeling is mutual. You should post more often my friend.
  8. What other solid options are in the FA?... Unless we give up our top prospects for a guy like Garza. What I read, seems like Theo is open trade him but he is selling him to the media as "the guy you could build your rotation around" so... in other words he wants the Aztecs' gold and something more for him, , besides, I'm not sure if we have the pieces they need, of course if we pursue a guy like him.
  9. You are right pumpsie and mostly when they are not that young anymore. But IMO I still believe he can help us, and I prefer to go over the LT and not give up our top prospects who BTW they are not a bunch.
  10. I'm not saying that you insulted him. What Is obnoxious? (extremely unpleasant?). You said "theres no difference". I told you that there's diference. He is talking about baseball. Maybe you dislike "the way" he expresses his ideas. Still he is just sharing, debating and making a point about the game. Is he wrong? Is he right? I don't know. That's not the point. When I said that there are differences is because he usually defends his points of view strongly (IMO he is usually right, but still is not the point) but under a frame of respect, always talking about the topic (Notice that I'm not saying that you disrespected him.) On the other hand, other guys the only thing that do is insult other posters. Don't believe me? Check out the guy who is insulting, intimidating, and disrespecting other posters in the offseason thread over and over again. The same guy who insults other posters always try to ridicule me when I agree with A700, I dont know why, and you know what? I don't care, it doesn't affect me anymore, as I said, prefer do not fight. I dont think, he wants to play a victim role or something. He just love to debate about the game .He's a pasionate about the game, just like some of us, thats all. Maybe some don't like the way he posts. We usually see eye to eye the issues. I don't need to defend A700, he is pretty intelligent to do it by himself. I just wanted to make a point about the way IMO he posts, that's all. Lately, I didn't find NECESSARY anymore to put in every A700's post "agree", he knows that we are usually agree. If I keep doing that probably, I'll reach him soon with the number of posts, and he won't be the king anymore . Anyway, Hopefully you don't take this In the wrong way ORS, you know I like you too (specially the way you post the stats) .
  11. Yup. I missed to comment this. I really want to see my team as a contender one next year. I don't want to wait until 2013. Going like this (unlikely) we ain't going anywhere in 2012. Kuroda could help us a lot. Yes, he is old. Yes, is arguably a lot of money for a guy of his age. Yes this is the ALE. But I don't see better options out there at this point and picking him up, you would save at least your farm. IMO I see him putting some solid numbers (+-4.5) at least the next couple of years.
  12. Then, what other option do you suggest? Unless you want to give up great part of your top farm for solid pitcher. He was not my favorite. I preferred Buehrle. I just don't want to see both, Bard and Aceves in those spots. One or another, but not both.
  13. Do u see Darvish and Cespedes in your team? EDIT: I just realized Texas won the bid for Darvish.
  14. Would you sign Kuroda for -+25/2?
  15. I'm agree with this. But if not, will be very painful, and I'm not sure if he can comeback for the rest of his contract.
  16. Well, a lot of "ifs" "maybes" and "good wishes" lately. I don't want to begin and face the 2012 season with those assumptions. I think, nobody is comfortable with our current roster. We all want a couple of extra moves. Yes, This offseason ain't over. Hopefully, we can get at least another SP. We'll see.
  17. What is the rank of our whole farm system among the 30 MLB teams, these days? Top 15? If yes, we are arguably solid, otherwise I wouldn't put that adjective to our farm.
  18. Scutaro +? What is this "+"?
