    This is pretty much the diagnostic. Most of the things you are saying here were commented in the offseason by some of us. As you said, we need a new direction. If they want to keep Ben as a puppet, fine, but under a new GM or president or whatever you want to call him... But the important thing is that we need a new strategy, specially at pitching.

    funny how cherry picking works around here, huh? LOL! Let's face it, the strategy was death wrong since day one. The pitching staff is a very bad one as some of us predicted in the offseason. Some drank the mediocre=good enough kool aid made by Ben, which is fine, but it's time to move on and put a real GM. It's enough, this team is a joke.

    Thing is that this pitching staff was not a mediocre one when the season started, it was a very bad one since day one. Some of us said that over and over again in the offseason. As I said, the strategy was death wrong from the beginning. Here the results; we are one of the worst teams in that department. Regarding Porcello, Elk is right, He has no one to blame but himself. Said that, we need to rebuild the FO first, I do not care we are in the mid of the season... Start the rebuilding process right away, this team is a joke.

    U? is the only one beating that drum and making s*** up expecting that it sticks on the wall since it match his flaw thoughts, i.e. He is trying to dodge the fact that Porcello is simply a bad pitcher, why? IDK. Elk, bell, me and others have provided links. On the other hand he has not provided a single evidence of his s*** up, instead and as always he insists in insulting and provoking people.     Correct. If you want a 4.25-4.5 ERA guy, you do not need to lock out a guy. Every year emerge a lot of pitchers with that profile or better via FA/farm/trades and way cheaper, so you do not need to commit that kind of money for a guy like Porcello. The thing is to pull the trigger at the right bird. Thing is that BC's telescopic sight is not working, since he is not a good hunter, sorry, GM.

    They should have waited and see at least a dozen starts before giving him that contract. For this and other bad decisions in the last 4 years, BC has to go.
