  1. Mookie the show Betts, WOW!
  2. I think we can forgive him after that catch LOL!
  3. I really really want to see Castillo. BTW why in the hell Young went after that Geez.
  4. Pretty much this. Even an orangutan could make the lineup these days and still they are going to make a lot of runs.
  5. The thing with Urias is that he has been dominating AAA and his development in minors has been very fast.
  6. Nope. He needs a year or probably two to be ready. Right now he is considered the 2nd best prospect in all baseball. He is only 19 years old. IMO this kid is going to be the real deal, time will tell though.
  7. Que alguien pare esta masacre haha
  8. Checking out some projections, they are estimating that JBJ will end up something around 270/340/440, a natural leadoff profile. The good "problem" that this team has right now is that everybody is hitting. JBJ could be a No. 3 or 4 hitter easily in other team, right now. IMO this should the everyday L-up. Mookie Peddy XB Papi HR JBJ Shaw BS Vazquez
  9. IMO other guy who can leadoff as well is JBJ. He hit and walk a lot..... AND hit with power. His line is simply insane. Right now he is a five tool player. Hopefully he keeps this level.
  10. get a taser type jolt of electricity? LOL! Sounds medieval Spud, but I like it.
  11. Also, somewhere I heard, I think it was on FOX, that MLB may expand the strike zone or something like that.
  12. Not sure what does it take to be a MLB ump, but in the today's NYM vs CHW game the narrators were saying that it is even tougher to become a MLB ump than MLB player.
  13. Some of us have been saying that we see kind of the same 2013 chemistry right now. Papi is not playing. He is simply enjoying the moment and seems like there is zero pressure on him. Hanley is healthy and playing solid defense. Our young core players are playing like all stars everyday. Price has settled down. Wright came from nowhere and is performing like vintage Wakefield. Porcello is under 4. Kimbrel has not been as sharp as I would expect but he is going to be ok. We only need another solid SP and probably another reliever who can share the load with Koji to round the team.
  14. Back to topic. Not sure if you guys watched the ATL vs SFG game but the home-plate ump was extending the zone way in and out. It was simply ridiculous.
  15. Indeed. It ranks first at wRC+ --126. At second? The Pirates with 9pts behind. It is simply insane.
  16. Seems like this thread is going to have another fight. U? Is involved as usual. Advise. Let mods handle this or simply ignore the guy, but please don't start again here.
  17. We got this. Tyler Wilson is a very bad pitcher, and his ERA is kind of fluky. All his ERA estimators concur, he should be at 4.5 --- his BABIP is 0.232. Also his SO/9 is awful, 4.64. He doesn't walk people but he allows a lot of bombs HR/FB% is at 12.8%. In fact his ERA in the last month is starting to show what he really is, it is at 4.25.
  18. Yeah, Rodney could be a nice addition, he shouldn't cost that much and he knows how to pitch in the ALE. As for Shield, it is a name I've been saying that we should have signed when he hit the FA. He is still very solid and also knows how to pitch in the AL. Other name could be Zimmermann, he could be a nice addition as well.
  19. What about Francisco Rodriguez? IMO DET is not going anywhere this season. ...and what 'about the SP? any idea?
  20. Kershaw is a freak --- in the good way, and Colon is unbelievable, he is pitching like he is in his prime LOL!
  21. Said that IMO the rotation seems like this: 1. Price 2. Wright 3. Porcello 4 E-Rod. 5. ? Kelly needs to go to the Pen and join Clay. Assuming that Kelly goes to the pen and somehow both settle down there, we are not going to need another reliever. We only are going to need another solid SP who can reinforce the rotation to face the POs. Said that, the $1,000,000 question will be, what type of profile should we pursuit? a young top-tier controlled-cost arm or a solid 2nd-tier type who can eat innings and won't cost us a haul of prospects?
  22. In other order of ideas, Officially David Price settled down and is performing as expected.
  23. I think we all agree that Pap is the better and is still great. Regarding his durability, today is a big question mark and thus far he is not having a good year. Do not take me wrong, I love Koji, but as I said in my post #552 we need another young/solid set up reliever who can help Koji. He is not longer reliable due to his age. They need to limit his IPs otherwise his arm will be destroyed.
