    What are you arguing? That the Ms were interested in both, Miley and Buchh, but they decided to sign Miley?. Well, I don't remember hearing that the Ms were interested in Buchh but if you say so... Not sure what is the big deal. Honestly, I don't find it interesting at all. What I find funny is how much energy you put on it, but be my guest, you can continue, but at least share a link man and case closed.

    Everybody here in Mexico say that this kid is the next Fernando Valenzuela. Considering that we will have XB, Pedroia, Shaw for a while I'd do it.

    Yup. Actually my system suggests me to bet against the Sox this time. I wouldn't take a money line considering how this team is hitting, but if you want to make a bet, take the 5 IP line which still pays you +140. Also, don't forget that Buch usually gets pounded early. Somehow at bet365 the 4 1/2 line hasn't been displayed yet ---I will not hesitate if it shows up. They didn't offered the line, now I figure out why. The house would have lost tons of money on this one.

    Well, according to my system Clay Buchholz only got 8% of the possible points. He is a very very bad pitcher.

    Checking out, most of them are way above their career BAPIPs. We better start cooking a trade for another SP. Those games with wide run-support margins won't last all season long. On the bright side, Price has settled down. Wright seems to be a reality. Porcello is not a top-rotation guy in my book yet but has been pretty decent. E-Rod is coming, isn't he? and Kelly at least looked great in his last start. Also, let's not forget that most of them are young and his career numbers don't say much... But still... JBJ's BABIP is 400?, insane LOL!

    Not sure whether this has been discussed early but Red Sox' BABIP is 0.347, the highest in MLB. Would you guys expect a regress here and if so how would it impact for the rest of the season, offensively?

    Teheran is not by any means a 2.5 ERA pitcher. In my book, he is something around 3.5. In fact his SIERA which considers balls in play is 3.6. He is a career 3.8 SIERA pitcher. What I like about him is his K/BB. I'd rather Hill and Pomeranz as well but if the price is right for Teheran I'd take him.

    Well, If those were the teams willing to make a trade I'd pursuit Teheran, Pomeranz or Hill.

    In other order of ideas, if CIN wants to know how does it feel to win again, today is the perfect day. If they don't win today, they could easily lose another 10 games. LAD is not hitting at all. They will go with Straily who is not an ace but at this point he is the best they have. Kazmir's been a joke this far. What is funny is that Straily's BABIP and LOB% are ridiculous and he is playing with the worst defense in baseball. The 5 IP line is at +140. Go reds LOL!

    If Clay shits the bed badly tomorrow, it could be his last start in Red Sox uniform. Somehow I thought that Colorado was a potent offense but they are 25th in wRC+ in all baseball, so Buch will not have excuses.

    Well, after this start Wright is not going anywhere. Seems like he is becoming a surprising and nice reality. He just need to train bit more with whoever is going to be his regular catcher. Vazquez seemed better behind the plate than Han. Btw, Bal is losing again. Sweet.

    Yes they are LOL! 9 of 10 times, 2016 Tillman should win against 2016 Fister.

    O's left 3 times the bases loaded in the game, and one of them in the 3rd --- if I remember well. Then in the bottom of the fifth Tillman was 2-2 with two outs with a runner on 3rd, and Valbuena hit a HR to take the lead. Gods of baseball made a call before this started. Houston was going to win this game, no matter what LOL!

    O's lost today. We are officially the best team in the AL and 2nd in MLB. We have to sweep the Rockies, their pitching sucks. Bettis who is pitching tomorrow is their ace.

    Salaries are not correlated with WAR numbers when a team makes an offer -- at very best is one of millions of things that they consider. Teams who are pro-stats have their own systems to value a players. There's an article posted several months ago in other thread that back up this. In the end, the market is who going to put the bar while teams take a lot of metrics, scouting and intangibles to make an offer according with their needs. On the other hand WAR shows you a decent perspective of the value of certain player, but you always have to take it with a grain of salt.

    Well, from an outside-in view, Cherington and Theo did not have the power and role that DD is having right now. LL was more likely what DD is right now, and he deserves most of the credit/blame of our success and failures in recent years. The other day I saw him in an interview with the people of NESN when he was officially inducted to the HOF-- btw the only time I have had the opportunity to listen this Sr-- and he seemed to me a very polite, educated an intelligent man, not sure why some people hated him at the time. Said that, I really like that DD is running this team. We needed this kind of profile. I think that he has the seniority, personality and background to lead us to a new success. Time will tell, though.
