i agree, our pitching has to step up these next two months. that start from beckett was a great sign though, he now has a 2.18 era since coming off the dl. if we can get him going along with lester and buchholz we'll have a real shot at a playoff spot

that was one of the best games of the year. beckett certainly looks like he's ready to roll and kalish continues to impress going 2-3 oh, yeah and some old injured guy who we called up hit a home run but i don't remember his name

just don't throw a straight fastball to duncan, all he's done since he was with the yankees is sit on fastballs. i was so upset with lackey last night when he threw him a fastball on a 0-2 count and it turned out to be the difference in the game

kalish is a stud. i believe he had 21 outfield assists in the minors this year, he had 25 stolen bases and was caught stealing only 3 times, he can hit for average, patience and power and he can play all 3 outfield positions to boot after today, he's 7-13 in the majors -

lowell did bat .500 with 4 home runs in his rehab stint and he's come ready to play. we're lucky we didn't trade him to the yankees
