so my girlfriend has a roommate with a mental disability in her hospital room and she gets really upset if the tv is turned off or changed from channel 3. looks like i'll be listening to this one on the radio awesome

not a bad idea. i'd consider running hall out there with the small right field in yankee stadium when we face sabathia. he's hit pretty well against lefties this year

you're right. i'll fix that. drew has been anemic against lefties this season which is why he's struggled so much overall

just out of curiousity, why are have we been running with 6 relief pitchers? wouldn't we be better served to have dustin richardson on the roster than, say, eric patterson? are we saving patterson for a pinch runner if anyone gets on against mo or something?

i agree, i would love for drew to heat up and he obviously has more talent than he's shown so far this year. he's hit .357/.438/.857 with 4 home runs and 2 doubles against javier vazquez and he's hitting .308/.397/.548 against righties this year. time for him to make himself useful

i agree with your last paragraph. his stock is really high right now after his cape cod league performance. i don't think the risk of going back to school is worth the mariginal gain in negotiating power that he may or may not get by going back to school for another year -
yup. at least okajima will be out for the series though

damn. that really throws a wrench into my calculations. guess we'll have to settle for only winning 110 games this year

i agree. having him struggle due to fatigue or come down with an injury from overuse would be disasterous

he didn't say that the rumor was he was going back to school, he said the rumor was that he's not going to sign. one poster asked if ranaudo was going to sign or not and he responded by saying -
i think the red sox lucked out with lester facing mosley because lester hasn't pitched well lately. i wouldn't be surprised if the series comes down to that last game and honestly it could go either way

what about his .724 ops since the all-star break makes you think he's gonna raise his ops by 100 points by the end of the year? may's the only month all year in which he's had an ops over .777

i didn't mean it literally. buchholz, lester, beckett and lackey all have the potential to go 7-8 innings and throw 115 pitches every time out, even daisuke is going more than 6 innings a start. the sox starters have been getting pretty deep into games, we haven't been seeing much of our middle relief outside of blowouts
