would anyone be intersted in giving brandon webb an incentive laiden 1 year deal? he's just now working his way back to the majors and might actually get in a game before the end of the season so he should be ready by next spring i know our rotation is set but there's talk of us exploring a trade for daisuke that would send him to the west coast. if we can't rid of him, he could play the roll of mike lowell and act as insurance for when one of our starters gets hurt and we could explore trading him at the all-star break if our rotation is healthy enough -
i'm sure he'd love to tell us about his cape cod league exploits as long as we don't ask what year he was in the league

not a very surprising result considering 1/3 of our regular lineup was in the game. there's always next year!

michael bowden's fastball doesn't have any movement on it at all. i don't understand how he had such a good year in 2008, even if it was spent between aa and aaa

why is it not surprising that a yankees prospect site is the only one out there saying he has a plus curve?

hard to win games when we're running ourselves out of chances to score

it's not all that surprising given this stage of his development. when hitters haven't seen him before, he can get by on his good fastball/changeup combination but his curve needs a lot of work and he's fairly predictable in that he pitches everyone away

he doesn't need to create a change, he has one which he's been working on for a few years. it isn't good enough for the upper minors yet, but he's only 21 so that's par for the course
