I agree. I'd target the Nationals and Juan Soto and Wil Crowe. I think Castro to the Angels makes a lot of sense too, but their farm is still wrecked and I doubt they'd trade from their major league roster. I'd love to sping some guys off, say... Fraizer, Soto, Montgomery, Adams, and the guy we get for Castro for Madison Bumgardner. 2017 roster something along the lines of... C: Sanchez 1B: Bird 2B: Wade/with Torres coming up in May. SS: Didi 3B: Headley OF: Gardner, Hicks, Judge DH: Ohtani Bench: Fraizer, McKinney, Romine, Torreyes Rotation: Bumgarner, Tanaka, Severino, Ohtani, CC Chapman, Robertson, Kahlne, Green, Holder/Heller, Smith/Shreve, and German.

Trade Ellsbury and cash to the M's. See if the Cardinals or someone else will overpay for Dellin. Trade Castro. Sign Ohtani. Let Cashman work his trade magic. I'd see if CC wants to come back for 1 year 8 million and Fraizer for 1 year 3.5 million. I'd also dangle Warren and Gardner, but for a high price tag.

I read that the Astros couldn't hit high velocity fastballs, so that will be an interesting series coming up with most of the Yankees pitchers throwing heat. Game one is going to be who, Tanaka going on regular rest or Gray game one and Tanaka on Saturday with an extra day?

Acevedo reminds me of Pineda a lot. Great talent, but can he mature enough? AJ Burnett style too. I think he'll have 2 great seasons, a bunch of meh seasons and a few horrible seasons.

Really liking how this team is shaping up. I hope we don't make a big trade. Maybe a deal similar to the one with Pazos or Gamel, target guys in the lower systems we like for 40 man roster crunch guys. Jake Cave? You look at what we have Judge, Sanchez, Fraizer, heck even Castro, Hicks, and Didi are younger. Then on the pitching side, LS and Mont pitching well. It's exciting, esp with another wave coming to the majors next year in Torres, Fowler, Acevedo, Adams, and I hope Bird gets healthy.

I could see them trading Jake Cave for a minor leaguer they like. Acevedo, Abreu, Littel, and even Estrada are most adds for me. I think McKinney goes to AFL and has to prove himself there. Even Feyereisen.

Top 10 prospects as of right now, according to me. 1. Torres, even with the injury looks like a superstar. 2. Fraizer, I think he could be a 280 hitter, with 25-30 bombs. Plus he's a character and I think the fans will love him. 3. Fowler, love this guy. I think he could be our starting CFer. Just does everything right. 4. Rutherford, again a personal favorite. I think he could mature into an perennial all star. 5. Adams, Not saying he's an ace or even a number 2, but a very strong 3. Plus he's knocking on the door. 6. Florial, remember this name. I think he'll raise up like Victor Robbles. Five tool stud, maybe a top 20 prospect this time next year. 7. Andujar, all this guy does it hit. 8. Sheffield, maybe our best pitcher that's healthy right now. 9. Acevedo, power arm thats playing well so far. Probably the most overlooked guy in the system. 10. Mateo, I mean Wade is hitting loads better, but I went with Mateo's ceiling over Wade's floor. Just a preference of my own thinking. Schmidt and Kaprielian give us two talented arms that could come into the system next June.

I think the Sox go after Lowrie for 3B. Something like Vazquez, Chavis, and D. Hernandez. Maybe even expanding it for Gray and Lowrie for Devers, Vazquez, Travis, and Johnson.

He's going to be one of those guys that gets overlooked, but I think will will become something in the majors down the line.

Honestly, I really hope we can be buyers and sellers at the deadline. Maybe a three team deal involving the Rockies? Yankees get: Gerrit Cole Rockies get: Didi and Pineda Pirates get: Rodgers, Castellani, D. German, and McMahon. Rockies get an above average SS in Didi, Pineda slides into their their rotation. Pirates get an up the middle prospect who could be a legit threat, Castellani is looking like a high velocity starter, and German could step into the rotation come August. Crazy trade idea, but meh. --- Obviously Torres would replace Didi and this trade would be in July. Headley sent the bench if he doesn't start to hit and maybe Wade at 2B and Castro to 3B

I don't expect huge things, but I could see him being a very nice bench piece or even a 240 hitter with 20 bombs at 1B

Say what you want about DD other trades, yeah some of them have been questionable, but that Sale trade was one of those you got the best or one of the best pitchers in baseball and you gave up something. You're a team that has talent right now and could win right now. I think that was a good trade. I'm curious to see what he does this trade deadline. I think he makes two moves, a larger one and a smaller one. I could see Moustakas in Boston come August.

Over the winter at NYYfans, I was one of maybe two posters who had faith in Hicks and Romine. I never thought Hicks would be this good nor do I think he'll keep this up. I think Hicks is an excellent 4th OF and a pretty darn good OF. Romine is a good back up too. I really love this team. I tihn Judge cools off, but Sanchez steps up. Headley has cooled off, Gardner has turned it on. Really hoping Bird comes back strong too.

Yeah, I love CC but I think even with that huge salary he could become an ace lefty out of the bullpen. I don't think Jordan Montogmery will be a long term piece, but I do like what I've seen out of him. I'm going to call it now though, Yu Darvish to the Dodgers in July. I think the Red Sox make a good trade too. As for the Yankees, I'm honestly not sure what Cashman will do. Sanchez coming back tonight, but Romine has been playing so well it won't boost us that much. Bird coming back healthy and getting his confidence up in the minors could really help us at the end of May and into June if he gets hot. I really do like this team though. Hope Tyler Austin can come back in June.
