  1. I'm excited to see how Sauer comes back. I think Canaan Smith is intriguing, but I don't think he's a star or even every day player. I have high hopes for Stowers, Stanford, and Smith. Not too keen on Sikkema, Yajure, or Abreu. Ryder Green is my boy though. I think he can take a big step forward this year. Florial should start out in double-A, I heard some whispers of maybe he starts at High A. I think the system is great for what we need right now. That triple-a rotation looks amazing, Garcia, Schmidt, King, Abreu, and Nelson? Forget about it. Only thing missing is position players higher up in the system, and some lefty pitchers, but this is a deep system with a lot of promise. like Jacko said our major league team has a lot of depth so the lack of high end position players in Double-a and triple-a doesn't worry me. i saw on NYYFans, that the Yankees are the favorites to sign Galiz and Montero this year and the favorites to sign Roderick Arias next year. Arias is said to be the best SS to be scouted since Wander Franco. Glad to see the yankees are still coming on strong in the IFa market to make up for their less than stellar drafts.
  2. We re did our training staff, its time to start to rethink the draft too. Get some new minds in there.
  3. Yes, it's sad. He is trying to sue everyone. I think he has had 4 or 5 open lawsuits. He has one against his gym for him not playing in the NBA, one against his trainer or agent for a failed NFL career, and one against the Reds too.
  4. I could see them trying to work out an extension with Judge.
  5. With the Cubs looking like sellers, the talk of Kyle to the Yankees is back. If I'm Cashman I call Theo and make him an offer for Rizzo.
  6. I am loving the depth of this team right now. I'm not saying everyone is going to stay healthy, or have career years, or even all star years. I realize some players have down years too, but wow I just really love what Cashman has done. If we can trade Happ and only pay off some of Ellsbury money, we'd be in excellent positon. Only thing I didn't like was this Hicks extension, I thought we should have sold high but no GM hits on every move they make. Cashman has done more good than bad.
  7. Cashman's next move is to package a guy like Cessa, Tarpley, or Holder with Happ. That would bring the payroll down by about 17.5-18 million
  8. I was wrong but that was a great way to wake up today. wow! still work to be done though! lets go!
  9. According to the Simonetti Source Rangers, Brewers, Angels, Padres, and Cubs have shown interest in Happ. It would be sweet to be able to dump him off. Pair him with a middle level prospect and maybe a few million in cash to get it done.
  10. I do not have any insider information on this deal. It was just for fun. I saw the Brewers needs, but I didn't see a match up and just for fun I was thinking. Also I doubt MLB GMs use that trade calculator when completing deals. There is no chance Fraizer's value is that low. Again I'm not saying Cashman told me directly this would happen, its just something I thought of for fun.
  11. Not going to happen, but how about this, Brewers get: Andujar, JD Davis, Ford, and Holder Brewers get their 3B, 1B, and insurance. Also they can plug Holder into the bullpen. Mets get: Hader, Fraizer, and Zach Brown Mets get salary relief to some degree, a closer, their starting LF, and a starting pitcher prospect they can work on and would be big league ready by the latest June. Yankees get: Noah, Diaz, and small amounts(about 250k) of IFA money from both teams. Yankees get Noah to plug into the rotation and can see if they can fix Diaz.
  12. I think you can add the Rangers and Angels in as looking for catching help. maybe even the Rockies. and im sure there are more teams.
  13. Yeah, Red Sox looking like they need Johnson more than the Yankees right now. I'd take some IFA cash from the sox though
  14. Yankees dealt Cortes for IFA cash, good move. Hopefully someone takes a chance on Bird next.
  15. I thought that was just speculation. Much like Bowden saying Lindor for Andujar, Garcia, and Peraza. I would like Kyle but not at the expense of Andujar.
  16. Who are you going to deal, Holder or Heller? also we'll have to make more moves if we end up signing any free agents.
  17. Look for a Yankees trade within the next 24 hours. They are at 36 men on their 40 man and they will have to add 6 guys to protect them from the 40 man roster, plus perhaps trade some guys they don't plan on adding. I could see Cortes Jr going for some IFA cash and maybe Cessa for a someone our scouts like.
  18. I wouldn't either, im just putting it out there in the slow part of the off season
  19. Boston media suggests a red sox yankee trade, "The Sox send Betts and lefthander Jay Groome to the Yankees for infielder Miguel Andujar, outfielder Clint Frazier, and righthanders Luis Gil and Mike King." https://www.bostonglobe.com/sports/redsox/2019/11/12/could-red-sox-and-yankees-make-blockbuster-trade/pyNj5IS7Moz3DeJ2c2rmdL/story.html It'd be nice to have Betts, but can't see them trading him to the Yankees.
  20. Bring Dellin back, see if Didi can come back. He gets a lot of hate but the man is a good ball player. Gardner will be back, I wouldn't mind seeing him not back though. With 75 million coming off the books after 2020, I think the Yankees should really think about 'overpaying' for Cole. The deals I'd make are Dellin back on a one year deal or two if he wants. I'd bring Didi back as well. Sign Cole. Wait out Gardner if he wants to come back for his 2019 deal 7.5 million then do it. I'd actually trade Ottavino. Guy was lights out for us this season, but he's not needed. I think Loaisiga moves into two inning set up. Our bullpen will be good. Chapman - closer LSU- Britton RSU- Dellin 7th inning - Kahnle Multiple inning - Loaisiga Opener/Fireman - Green Long guy - Cessa Not worried about the bullpen at all. i'd be pissed off if we don't resign Dellin.
  21. I agree 2020 will be a big year for him, when we non tender him and a team like the Royals or even Guardians pick him up lol.
  22. I wouldn't sign any fee agents before Jan 1. Let the market crash again and see if there are bargins like Gardner still out there. Only guy I'd be aggressive with is Cole... and Stras when he opts out.
  23. Him or even Pedro. I know he worked with Sevy a few years back and really turned him into a machine and I had read he even worked briefly with German at some point. I know Pedro is kind of like a lightning rod for any organization with his antics but he'd be interesting with some power pitchers we have.
  24. I know its a long shot, but David Cone please? Maybe even have an assistant PC, I think a few other teams have that
  25. Can't tell if you're being seriosu lol
