  1. Sox are losing the next game too. No one wants to play after f***ing up a game like this
  2. We can't wait around like last season because this team lacks the offensive fire power to wait around for Ortiz to hit. Lowell needs to get in there, Hermida, or anyone at this point would be more product than Ortiz.
  3. thats justice. s*** ass Delcarmen gives up the game after we strand the bases loaded with no outs
  4. Really pumped to see the Bruins come back in a game where they were down 2 goals. Ryder had a great game, Chara was a force, and other than a freak goal off of Begin's skate and stupid Lucic turnover, the Bruins didn't make too many stupid mistakes. 2/3 goals scored on Rask where great shots which Tuuka couldn't do much on. I'm excited to see the team score 5 goals off of Ryan Miller.
  5. Oritz needs to be benched. Thats pathetic bases loaded no outs.
  6. f***ing pathetic bunch of losers. Beltre sucks
  7. V-Mart won't be a catcher forever. His transition to 1st base began in Cleveland. He has never been a great defensive catcher anyway, but at some point you have to take into the account that catching too many games will affect his ability to hit. His ability be an offensive threat, actually a top 3 offensive catcher, is where he makes his $. Depending on the progress of guys like Expositio and Wagner, I would like to see V-Mart here for another 3 years. The Sox have to watch how many games he starts behind this dish, b/c he can't be catching too many. In the future you could have V-Mart split time with Exposito and have him DH or play 1st b/c by then Ortiz and Lowell will be gone.
  8. and then you got the aging Celitcs, looks like its up to the Bruins and their #2 overall pick to say the day
  9. I'm not high on the Jets. Lets not forget they had to beat two teams who rested their starters to get into the playoffs last year. The key part of their offense, the running game, has take a big hit with the loss of Thomas and maybe Washington. Sanchez will have to step up and hope his WR's don't blow it, b/c the Jets WR's consist of a guy who is missing a fourth of year, a guy who leads the league in drops every year, and Cotchery.
  10. You should have read the part where I mentioned that V-Mart is a better defensive catcher because he can still actually catch, something Tek can't do anymore. Look at how many pass balls Tek last season, the guy can't catch on a full time basis anymore. And with the exception of when Beckett is pitching, I'm not worried about the ERA's when V-Mart is behind the dish.
  11. I find it funny someone is critizing V-Mart's ability to throw out runners when he wants Tek to start. Tek has to be the worst catcher at throwing out runners ever. His caught stealing % over the last couple of years starting was horrible, and lets not forget his defensive skills declined a lot last year. He isn't that much better than V-Mart at this point. LOL at a one game sample of Tek catching and hitting. There is a reason why Tek can't start anymore, because he can't hit on the regular. Being on the bench means he is fresh, so he should be hitting better, it works out well that way. V-Mart is a top 3 offensive catcher in the game. As for the pitchers ERA, the only I'm worried about is Beckett. Lester sucks every April, Tek can't handle Wake's knuckleball, Lackey is fine, and Buccholz pitches better with V-Mart behind the plate.
  12. Defensive blunders like the one Hunwick made on the first goal can't happen, because with the Bruins goals are coming to come in small numbers. We outshot the Sabres, but I feel we need better chances.
  13. I always have my Mo Vaughn jersey near me at all times
  14. Marshall will help out Henne, but his talents will be wasted in that joke offense. Still the AFC East is very competitive now with 3 teams that could get 10 wins.
  15. I'm pretty sure I heard Nick Johnson come out to Miley Cyrus's party in the U.S.A...
  16. Drew can still play a sufficient RF despite his offensive woes, Ortiz is a DH, if he can't hit, he has no use to the team.
  17. Hermida has been playing well when given the chance. You reward a bench guy like that and ride him while he is hot. Ellsbury will probably miss one more game, so if Ortiz keeps this up, put Hermida in.
  18. Thats because there is no salary cap in baseball to drive down costs for owners.
  19. The pen does suck, anyone who thought we had a top 5 pen like we did last year was crazy. Delcarmen appears to be blown out, his fastball has dropped 5mph and he wasn't great all the time to begin with. Rameriz looks like he has lost all confidence in himself out there. Okijima has been figured out by the league and isn't deceiving anyone anymore. I figured out last year was the beginning of the end for him in Boston. Bard is going through the motions, he is a 2nd year player and he is going to be thrown into the fire a lot. Papelbon...... we will see.
  20. It still too early to give up on Ortiz, but we have Mike Lowell, we might as well get him in the lineup against lefties. But we can't afford to have Francona still with Ortiz until June like he did last season. This team can't afford to have another black hole in the middle of the lineup like last season. I'm surprised I haven't heard Adrian Gonzalez trade pleas start up yet...
