    LOL, Nomar is so pathetic. Turns down 4 years and 60 million and then crawls back to the Sox just so he can retire in a Red Sox uniform. Guy was incredibly overrated during his tenure here, espically with the glove. He was one of the worst defensive SS's I've ever seen in Boston. We won a World Series because we traded his pathetic, overrated ass. He pumped himself pull of roids and his body decayed because of it. I find this all hilarious.

    I've met Bill Lee twice, the media portrays him (correctly lol) as a spacey out there guy, but when you talk to him he is a real nice guy.

    Its time for Clay to start the year off in the rotation. You keep Wake around in case Clay falls off the world and sucks or if there is an injury. At some point in the season, someone will go on the DL, combine this with rainouts leading to spot starts Wake could start 10-15 games this year. He'll be a long man out of the pen, so that helps save the pen.

    Still he has to be out at least 3 games b/c of NHL policy, although I think he'll be out longer than that. What a cheap hit, and what pisses me most almost as much as the hit was the fact that no retaliated against Cooke or tried to take out their pretty boy Crosby. This team needs their catalyst in Savard, even without him the offense comes and goes. Now he's out and we have to hope Bergeron and Krecji step up. I don't know how this team became so friggin soft.

    Looks like Mankins, and Gostowski will be sticking around too because of tendered offers. Great to see Wilfork extended, he really is the cog that holds down the 3-4 defense. Good to see the Pats didn't really lose anybody important, but we also haven't signed any free agents yet that would make us better. I think Peppers is overpaid, and he wouldn't fit in a 3-4 scheme anyway. I wish we went after Boldin harder. We have 4 picks in the first two rounds, we easily could have shipped a second rounder to Arizona for him.

    I loved Mo Vaughn too. Growing up I guess he was my idol (lets ignore the DUI's and the trips to the Foxy Lady) and I met him on several occasions. Then I guess I liked Damon for the first couple years he was here and then Arroyo became my favorite. White man with cornrows, gotta love it. Then he gets traded and I guess my favorites became Lowell and Bay once he came to Boston. Right now I don't really have a favorite player on the roster.

    We got Dennis Seidenberg, he is no savior but he will help out on the defensive front. Hopefully guys like Ryder will benefit from more solid neutral zone play like he did last year. Still, we failed to address our biggest need, a scoring winger. We have a somewhat easy schedule coming up over the next 5 games, so lets make up some ground and get to the 6th seed. I think right now Buffalo is the 6th seed, and I think we at least have a shot against them.

    Well A. The Marlins play in a football stadium and B. no cares about baseball in Miami or anywhere in Florida, I don't know how you can draw a comparison between Florida and Carolina

    I don't know why Carolina doesn't have a pro baseball team to be honest. Isn't college baseball really popular down there? I think they could support a team

    Playing the Yankees and Rays 19 times a year each hurts the Sox record and it kind dampens the rivalry when we play them so many times, especially so early in the season. But you can't go around mixing up the leagues, because eliminating the whole DH would be a HUGE issue. Just keep the divisions, but just take the top four teams with the best record in each league
