    lol, no team, especially the Red Sox, is going to hit .190. And the ERA goes the same way. I'm not in the least bit concerned. after 5 games. I'm not saying that you're saying the sky is falling, I'm saying "eh, but it's five games, and you'd almost have to try to hit that poorly and give up that many runs, so I'm pretty sure the Sox will go on a huge run pretty soon".

    Pedro in his prime is almost unrivaled in the history of the sport, he had numbers that belonged in the 1960s during the height of the steroid era while pitching primarily at Fenway Park. Pedro Martinez in his prime is in his own league, absolutely no other way to answer this question. Greg Maddux had a very good stretch, and lasted longer with lesser stuff, but no pitcher was ever more overpowering than Pedro IMO.

    I think you're confusing "Player of the Year" and "Most Valuable Player". They're two very separate things. If it were player of the year, yeah maybe Lebron gets it, but Rose is without a doubt the most valuable player to his team out of all players and teams.
