  1. It doesn't even matter, that's the most asinine argument that you could possibly make, that one overpriced player who's making 30 million a year is the difference. The Yankees have a very substantial advantage.
  2. John Lackey was not elite, they probably understood why they Red Sox let Bay go, and if they were to get Matt Holliday, they'd have to have made an even more ridiculous offer than what he has now.
  3. You're honestly going to argue that? Really? Totally irrational, not even going to touch that one, I'll leave you think about it.
  4. The Yankees eat entire contracts, they have no limits.
  5. For one, Joba isn't a prospect. He doesn't have upside anymore either. He's 25, we've all seen how fast he fades on the mound. He's a reliever, and I'm not giving up our ace for a freakin' reliever.
  6. He really isn't recognized like he should have been. He was one of the two-or-three most feared hitters of the 50s, but he really didn't do much after about his 10 years of dominance.
  7. Hit the most home runs of the 1950s. He's definitely one of the greats.
  8. I always loved him because he has starter-level per 36 minutes stats. He averages something like 15 points and 10 rebounds per 36, the Celtics could really use his help right now too.

  10. No. Definitely not.
  11. John Stockton was incredible. and yes, he's got to be one of the whitest looking dudes you could ever see. Amazing passer, great shooter. IMO, Malone owes plenty of his success to the greatest passer of all time.
  12. Fixed.
  13. Wilt Chamberlain's double-double streak record is 227, so yeah, this isn't even close to that, but no one's going to approach any of Chamberlain's records, he was just too advanced for his era. Moses Malone's 44 in '82-'83 was the previous longest since the 1980s.
  14. Haha, he played previously to 32 years ago, I think they sort of start after the Russell/Chamberlain era, because of their advantage. Obviously, those two probably topped 45-straight, maybe even doubled that streak, but like I said it was for the last 32 years, I don't think it's an all time record.
  15. D:
  16. I think Love has to be one of the most underrated players in the NBA. I remember the first time I ever saw him play, he was a top ranked high school player, his team came to the Target Center to face one of our teams, I forget which one, but he scored like 47 points or something. Then I remember how awesome he was at UCLA. I didn't expect him to be this dang good though.
  17. Kevin Love just became the owner of the longest double-double streak in 32 years. 45 straight. Incredible.
