  1. Oh boy, another old guy with a simple-minded approach.
  2. You are noticeably passionate, and I have to respect that.
  3. You need to relax, you're stressing everyone else out by talking about the season being over. Of course no one wants to hear that s***. You seem to think no one realizes that this team is going to fail if they continue to play like ass.
  4. They play up to what they can, they make it. Simple as that. This team has hella talent, time to play up to it. They keep playing like ass, they're going to finish with 80-85 games. They can still win 95, no problem if they're playing to ability and not blowing it.
  5. Not made of glass, and I don't fear for his durability in any way.
  6. After Youk gets traded. Wow, nice.
  7. It's asinine because that's convenient for you. It's the same principle, you get overly excited about your guy, Sox fans did the same and you act like they're just f***ing ridiculous. At least Morales has actually been pitching to those numbers, and improving on what has plagued him; Hughes is average and getting lucky. Stop being such pretentious toolbag and people might not floss your ass every time you get a boner for one of your guys.
  8. Lol, what about Morales now? You're just reassuring us all of what a homer you are.
  9. Great posts.
  10. He's just a stereotype of the Yankees fan base, he's not above irrational criticism of Sox players. There's a reason why there's a chart for his biases floating around somewhere, which we call the Jacko Chart.
  11. Pessimist crybabies are back again. Kill me now.
  12. Jeter of the NFL, fo sho. Pats fans are also the Yankees fans of football. BTR may very well be the Jacko of another Pats forum.
  13. Jeter will start if he hits .170 or .370.
  14. Nope, 500 home run hitters ain't exactly hard to come by now, and he hasn't even made it there yet. PEDs will doom him at least until other dopers get in, and the ones ORS mentioned put up better numbers and weren't DHing their entire careers. I'd say yes if he averaged the numbers he has with the Red Sox for the majority of a 15 year career, and never got busted doping.
  15. That seems riduculous to me that offense is somehow depreciating in value. At any position. It's the guy who gives the best chance to win. Whether its with his bat or his glove or both, games aren't won on good stopping, they're won on stopping and getting run support.
  16. f*** yeah, good to see we're up.
  17. He is the Jeet of football. His fanbase thinks he's the best, everyone else chuckles, agrees he's a first-ballot hall of famer, and just sort of is surprised anyone could think that.
  18. No, Peyton Manning RUNS THE OFFENSE. He is the primary play caller for the Colts since his rookie season. His value is not even quantifiable, because he does things that don't show up on stat sheets. Brady does what BB tells him to. He has a better offense and a comfy offensive line on a yearly basis. I agree with your Sox optimism, but take off the rose-colored glasses. Brady is a step down from Manning. To everyone saying he was elite before 2007, then that's your opinion. He was significantly better after getting Welker, Moss and Stallworth (who wasn't elite, but above-average at the time).
