  1. Absolutely, and I agree with you that Ariza played the role probably much better than Ron Artest, and was probably a better fit, not to mention Ron's shown that he's more than capable of going into full-fledged douchebag mode. I think it was a huge gamble for a guy who's a lockdown defender, and all-around better player than Ariza, but like you say, I personally think Ariza is a better fit as well. I think Cleveland's deal for Shaq was a bad move for the exact same reason, just like I thought that the Suns dealing for Shaq was a stupid move back when that happened. Unless you've got a slow-paced offense, like for example, the Spurs, Shaq is pretty much just a liability right now. He's huge and slow now, as opposed to old Shaq, who was huge and quick
  2. Yes, but the Lakers are just as loaded up as the C's are. We are the Beast of the East, but the Lakers are the guys who we're going to have to beat
  3. Yeah, it's just collectively that the West is usually a much better and tougher league, I agree with that. However, I think that the Lakers this year are considered to be almost the certain pick for the championship. Isn't everyone picking Lakers this year? Nah, I think our additions are just as significant as LA's. We've got a good thing going this year, I think we're the team to beat this year. I really don't think Shaq makes a huge impact in Cleveland, he's just not half the man he used to be. I remember when Shaq was arguably the best player in basketball, he was just too huge to be stopped, and he was agile for someone so massive. He's still huge and strong, he's just not very agile at all anymore.
  4. And Doiji, please, please, please, don't make me argue with you over this again
  5. Here's my final word on this: Doiji, defend this guy blindly all you want, because that's obviously what you're doing at this point, just coming in to white knight for a cause you didn't even bother to understand. If you did understand, you'd be absolutely foolish to agree with his position. Here's what's been said: bsox0407 thinks that Rajon Rondo deserves 15-17M/yr in the free agent market, and can command the same amount of money as Chris Paul. So how about this, let's do a quick comparison of some major statistics, both offensively and defensively. 2007-08 Season: Chris Paul: 21.1 PPG, 11.6 APG, .488 FG%, 2.7 SPG Rajon Rondo: 10.6 PPG, 5.1 APG, .492 FG%, 1.7 SPG 2008-07 Season: Chris Paul: 22.8 PPG, 11.0 APG, .503 FG%, 2.8 SPG Rajon Rondo: 11.9 PPG, 8.2 APG, .505 FG%, 1.9 SPG Holy s*** dude, those stats are practically the same! Damn, I mean besides the massive difference in PPG, APG, SPG in favor of Chris Paul, they're practically the same guy, I mean seriously, let's just give him the same money as Paul is going to get. Let's just book him for $18M/yr right now!
  6. They look good, like I expected with some of the addition's they'd made. I think they're looking like the team to beat, and I hope they maintain success better than the 08-09 squad. (Really? Were they 27-2 or 27-3 to start the year? Either way, totally fell off the planet)
  7. In terms of memorable, like SOTK said, this is the Sox's decade, and when it comes down to it, that's what matters.
  8. Btw, my grandma could average 8 apg with KG PP and Ray Allen as teammates.
  9. REALLY? You think he's worth more than 11m? So what, like one for every point per game? He didn't even average 12 points last year. And yeah 8 apg. So let's just pay him the big bucks. Again, not exactly astonished you'd defend his case, despite that everyone disagrees.
  10. Ugh, the Gophers, I dunno, they open up in the Top 25 I think, but they really disappointed me when they dropped a bunch of games towards the end of last season. Tubby's done wonders for this team though, without him we'd still be doing the Monson sub-500 thing.
  11. Yeah, I know what you mean, everyone has family problems. And that's the thing, famous people, by being famous, sort of agree to an unwritten understanding that their family problems will be aired out in public. I'm against airing that s*** out in public as much as anyone, but the fact is, when you're famous, you have to understand that the media will go after you, no matter how dirty it may seem.
  12. So you plead ignorance then?
  13. Did they?!? Holy s***! I hate not having TV, but that's just disgraceful, a team that's often considered to be a powerhouse losing to ANY DII team is sad, but hilarious
  14. Like Dipre, I'm out of this, and for the same reason. We're not getting anywhere, no matter how many people disagree with you
  15. Chris Paul is both a better scorer (By more than double the ppg, consistently) and distributor.
  16. Fixed. CP3>>>>>>>>>>>Rondo. Why would you pay them the same? Look at their stats, for god's sake. Rondo isn't half the player CP3 is
  17. Chris Paul averages around 20-22 ppg and around 11 apg. Rondo averages around 12 ppg and maybe 9 apg at best. Chris Paul is one of the best players in the league, Rondo isn't even one of the three best player ON HIS TEAM
  18. Whhhaaaat? Dude, you're willing to pay that much more? Are you serious?
  19. Yeah, Dojji didn't pay any attention to this thread at all, he just came in here to talk out of his ass (Oh, what a big surprise that is, go figure)
  20. So why not pay him $17m/yr, just for that shot alone?
  21. Yo mama so po' she can't affo'd food stamps
  22. Just echoing the feelings of everyone. Not that it hasn't been said before
  23. Maybe because he didn't explain his position clearly enough in the first place, and is now backtracking to make his position seem to make more sense. If he would have explained it better in the first place, then maybe it wouldn't be this way. Wait, posting nonsense, and taking things miles away from where they need to be... Who does that sound like?
